What are most profitable offline business niches to target?

Hey I was having a difficult time finding offline clients who actually have money and want to market online. Now the lawyers, doctors, and dentists, were taken up long ago where I live. What other niches have money and can afford to market on the web and pay a decent rate?

Everyone has money. Not all the doctors, lawyers and dentists are taken in your area. If I search for "Dentist orlando" there's two yellowpages listings on page one. You know what that means? There's two open spots for clients of yours.

Right now I have two roofers (non-competing), a chiro, locksmith, personal trainer, and vehicle (car, boat, rv) upholstery place. They're all paying me $xxx per month to make sure they get business.

somacorellc thanks for the great tip. Are the yellow pages the best place to look for those who have money to advertise?

Your best bet is to pick one niche and become the master offline marketer for that niche. Pick something like locksmiths and the world is your calling zone. By picking one niche you know the ins and outs of that niche and they believe you are the professional and want you to handle there marketing.

I have thought about this, and was not sure I would be leaving money on the table. In the targeted niche should I go after the big players or the middle of road guys/gals?

Marketing to verticals is tricky, because you run into competing businesses in your target locations. You'd have to expand out of Orlando pretty quickly. All of my clients love that I won't work with any other client in their niche in my city.

Another idea is to target businesses with high transaction values, servicing the B2B marketplace. I've had success with this..just takes alittle bit of outside the box thinking.

For example--one great place to start: manufacturers! The list is almost endless and they have the $$$ to place into a marketing campaign. Also, I've found them, personally, to be easier to deal with...no micromanagement and appreciation for your expertise!

When people discuss different "offline professions" they are forgetting the first rule about picking niches. You don't go for whole "pie" but go for the micro niche.

So Morpheous when ou say all the lawyers are taken up I assume you are just targetting "lawyers in California". That is a big pie. Why not focus on what lawyers actually do? Child custody lawyers, domestic abuse lawyers, lawyers who sell dental practices etc etc etc. Set up sites to these specific niches.

I have been working with start up companies lately. Many of them have a decent size marketing budget. Got a new one starting next week at $1,750 per month.

I'd avoid locksmiths since Google Plus Local is such a pain for them.

I really enjoyed working for accountants. They can be high maintenance, though, and they have slow periods during the year, so may want to stop services in the off season. Depends on the accountant. One of my clients was also interested in book keeping and payroll in the off season, so I was sure to go after those areas.

I just sold a lead capture page and bundled everything together.

    Lead Capture Page
    10,000 Flyers
    1000 business cards
    Distribution of the flyers

total $2500.00 from 1 hour meeting But most of my customers come back over and over again because of the return they get on flyers.

I would recommend bundling products together to earn more per sale.

I watched a David Sprague webinar recently where he said that the only reason people do not take action is because they dont see the value. In other words if the value is demonstated they will find the money.

There are an awful lot of contractors who have money to spend on marketing. They do spend it seasonally, but you can build a marketing business around helping them. Lead gen sites and getting them ranked in towns the contractor is presently not in, is worth money to them.
