Hi, I'm a commodity.....are you?

This is bad I know. But, I believe this is my reality. It doesn't seem to matter that I have ranked a website or videos, more importantly - produced RESULTS via live phone calls, or even given away several calls for free (that in one case has actually MADE MONEY for the prospective client!).

When I ask for the sale I always get the same thing: "We'll think about it".

I think this is further proof that logic does not matter in this game. The only thing that matters is TRUST.

To the average small business owner, without TRUST:
  • I am a commodity.
  • What I offer is a commodity.
1. Has anyone else hit this massive wall of frustration yet? If so, what did you do to get around it?

2. What makes YOU any different from any other Warrior or provider of online marketing? How do you gain their trust to get you a "Yes"?

I don't know how your doing things, but when i talk to a potential client, before
we even get into the "pitch" part, i just talk to them, feel them out
we have a conversation, which leads to bonding, and trust .....

I do that before i try to sell them my product.

this was just mentioned in another thread today, I sell myself before i sell the product.

if you do that, the wall of frustration that your feeling, will disappear,
you and your product will become the solution instead of a commodity

"I'll think about it" is a standard objection and you shouldn't take it personally.

You could use any of the various sales objection handling methods to try and overcome this but if you're getting this response regularly then it might be that the problem is actually in the quality of the business owners you're attracting.

That could be where the root cause is and where you need to dig deeper.

Hey pal, first of all don't get suck in your own head! You're out there getting it done, which makes you far better than 80%+ of the others.

Your issue stems from a lack of training, not a lack of skill. Even if you're a rockstar internet marketer -hell I don't care if you're name is Don the Pied Piper King, middle name Google - it doesn't make up for a solid sales ability. Think about it - every star athlete still has an agent who sells him to the league, right?

Now, you can either hire yourself a great salesperson (hard to do, expensive to get right) or you can learn to be your own agent.

So unfortunately, the real answer to your question is a very long one. I'd be happy to give you 30 minutes of phone time that would dramatically change your situation, you can pm me if there is any interest. Otherwise, stop buying WSOs for a minute and pick up a book on sales technique. Trust me it'll change your life.

    That's why I like face-to-face selling. I don't really go
into much detail until I sense a level of trust. Only then
    do I start "Selling."
