What is Marketing Skills
As a learner i have been always observant.
Each time i'm drifting through the properties/investment exhibition i notice
1) some booth is packed like sardines as people trying to grab the best deal
2) some booth have good amount of people
3) some have only a few people asking about
4) some only their sales agents were standing there staring into the dream world
with this i tried to analyze what the heck did they do that makes it so interesting?
this is what i realize after attending a few courses/talk/seminars on marketing.
1) When selling, know when to hold back.
- If you pushed to hard the buyer will start becoming defensive and all your messages will be blocked out making it even harder to sell.
2) Great deals ! no brainer
- but it's not just the words "free" / "discount" / "cheap" ... it's more of a way to convey why it's free, why we're giving discount and how it is cheap.
3) The one time offer deal !!!
"This offer only valid on this exhibition" if it's used wisely.... often it's a boost to the sales of the day.
4) Buyers hate to be sell
- after all they had already stepped into the exhibition hall and are trying to look for an investment worth buying and you have a great product but they just hate to buy it from you when you're SELLING it
5) Packaging
- it's quite the core of marketing, it's a physical product "house/car/etc" and it cost a few big dollars. So ask your boss to step up the packaging. The visual influence is irresistible.
