Follow Up After Direct Mail
I have been using direct mail a fair bit lately. And i know i should be following up with phone calls. But like most people i lack a touch of confidence lol.
Anyone got any good ideas for an opening for a follow up call?
Something simple but brings up a pressing issue. I have developed my mail pieces outlining the size of the market and the opportunities they have once they get into the online game. I have also compared businesses to their direct competitors. Showing their competitors above them and out performing them.
For the script i would like come across casual because hard-lined direct sales calls irritate me and they are something i dont want to either.
I was thinking something along the lines of:
Hi my name is John and i am from ******** online consultancy firm. We sent you some correspondence in the mail a couple of days ago outlining how your website is being out performed by your competitors. We are following up to see if you would like to switch the tables and out perform your competitors?
I have come up with the above as i am writing this. I am wondering if something above is a little to long. When you saying something out a loud it seems to go on forever.
