Where do you get your outsourcers?

I've seen a lot of talk on here about warriors outsourcing to the Philippines. I feel like this may be a touchy topic for some, so if there's any information you can give me about finding quality outsourcers (the Philippines seems like a good area to start), you can PM me if you're not comfortable threading about it.

But I would love to learn more on this topic.

Thanks.

Well, the first place to try is the Warriors for Hire section in this forum. For example, myself and other writers advertise there. You'll also find website designers and a range of other people.

You can also opt to use the bidding sites such as vworker, odesk and elance.
So it really depends on what you're looking for and your budget.

I personally have built my team from posting job listings on Elance and viewing their portfolio and asking them questions. Once you find the best person to work with, always keep the second best on hand because the first one may keep you hanging...

Try onlinejobs.ph its a great site where you can get great filipino workers, I have hired a few virtual assistants who work for me part time and they are great.

You can view the potential staff for free but you have to pay a fee to be able to access their contact information but it is well worth it.

Try and read some stuff on john jonas's blog he gives some great information about filipino culture and potential problems you could face when outsourcing from the Philipines. Also search for some of tyrone shum's videos he gives some great advice about outsourcing.

    I hope this helps

I am an outsourcer (US based) with a Team that works for me; and I've gotten some work here via the Warrior Forum.

I have hired some Team members from the Philippines, some from India (via various sources) - didn't always work out well.

Mostly a US Team now. When I need to hire more Team members, or sub-contract out work, I usually tap into a VA network I belong to, my LinkedIn connections or other networking connections I have.

One of my secrets revealed: craigslist.com.ph.

I have found some of my best outsourcers there.

My simple strategy for finding a great worker:

#1: Make a very clear job post. State exactly what you want in someone.
#2: After picking a few potential candidates, email a specific set of questions to qualify them for an interview. ie: why do you feel that you would be good for this job?
#3: Set up a skype interview to ask more detailed questions, find out the language strengths and weaknesses, skills, etc.
#4: Give them a paid "test task" to complete.
    #5: Choose your best candidate.

My current "team" is mainly built through friends I already know and trust. I have a few VA's but I find hiring someone you know is ideal because you already know what to expect from them.
