Groupon

Hi --

So I'm kinda pissed right now... I just called Groupon to ask about doing a deal on the site. I had read a number of books from here that outlined people offering website creation services, ebooks and other services. All those books were men and after talking with the rep, I'm starting to think that only men get to sale those things. Kind of a piss off for me since I applied months ago and had to call just to hear " We don't normally do business to business services." and " We do book collections only." I felt like pointing out the book I read about it but changed my mind because I was already upset and a bit sad. I have this sick feeling that if my husband had called for me ( even as wimpy as he sounds on the phone ) they would have bent over backwards to have "his" business on their website.

Could someone please point me to some other daily deal sites that aren't gonna be like this? It would mean a ton to me.

    I bought a WSO on daily deals a while back (WHAT A SHOCKING REVELATION) and I can report that in MY experience, ALL of those daily deal sites were the same.


    I have no idea how they stay in business because 90% of them never responded to me in any way. Some said they would send me info and never did. Many never returned my call or email, and all that did didn't seem to have a clue about anything.


    Here's a list though to get you started of daily deals


    I think most of them just aggregate (is that the right word?) each other's deals or something, because getting hold of an actual person was hard.


    You can also search for something like "city + daily deal sites" to find more or "sites similar to groupon" and you should find plenty.

      Groupon and most DD sites have grids (vertical markets) that they stick to and unfortunately its B2C (consumer) offers. If your offer doesn't fit their grid, they have no need for it.
