CRM Software Options?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of reasonably priced or free CRM softwares or hosted solutions?

I have been looking at a few and then when I finally find the price or get an email back its RIDICULOUS. Most of the ones I got back were +$20/user/mo which is a bit crazy.

So I was hoping someone on here had some suggestions, I really have to get away from the excel and onenote files.

Added info: the CRM software will be used for tracking opportunities, leads and sales for online marketing clients
Also offline is preferred (security reasons obviously), but hosted is good if the price is right.

Use the Search function...this question has been asked and answered many times before.

I use google calendar and a spreadsheet...works for me.

@Jason Looked but nothing useful found. All the lower priced ones I found had contact limits
@Benderbot I was thinking the same, having someone code a CRM specifically for the uses I need.

I prefer VTiger, it's free if you host it yourself... very robust though, if you aren't savvy you aren't going to figure it out.

Well, I was going to suggest HighRise by 37signals, but I see you have a smaller budget. Did you check Salesforce.com yet? Salesforce Pricing & Editions - Sales Cloud - salesforce.com - I see some $5 and $10/month options.

My regular "9-5" is selling CRM and ERP solutions all day long, so I think I'm qualified to give you this bit of advice: If you are looking for something that has some decent functionality, integration capability (like into Outlook or other email clients)...etc etc, then $20/user is probably a good benchmark.

If you can't justify that for a CRM solution, then you probably should stick with whatever you're using now.

    ....just my $0.02

I've started using Zoho CRM. I've looked around long and hard and this one seems better than many I've looked at. The price is within your budget ($0 for up to 3 users).

    A 4th vote for vtiger.
It is a one-click install on the major hosting providers (via fantastico or quickinstall).

As long as you do not need to customize it is usable right out of the box.
For me it beats spreadsheets/google docs (which I had used previously).

Just wanted to update this thread. I went from VTiger, to Salesforce, to Zoho...and I've made the switch to Microsoft Dynamics.

Yes, it is $44 per month...but big deal...it is making my business run smooth. It tracks everything and handles every aspect I could ever need. It has changed the way I run my business. And, it integrated perfectly with Outlook so everything is in one place.

I was using Gmail and google apps...now I am in Outlook and Dynamics...wow what a difference.
