I want to create websites for local oflline businesses.
There a lot of templates that I can use.

They also give away free vouchers:

Free adwords voucher (75 dollar)
Free facebook voucher (50 dollar)

I want to use wix.com software to create them?

What do you think about that?

If I'm not mistaken (and I might be), if you use wix.com for the design you have to host it there. They aren't the cheapest option for hosting.

Yes, i think your idea is good, but you must have in mind, that other have already thought of this kind of business, so you are gone have some competition and you should have a clear and effective marketing plan in order to make your business work

Yes, but the competition in the Netherlands isn't that big. There are still many small local business owners that don't have a website yet.

        So I think its ok.

Personally, I would never use something that is not independently hosted, where I didn't have complete control over all of the content, no real ability to move it to another platform if I wanted... and no recourse if something went wrong.

Plus, last I checked, Wix was for the most part flash based... which... for certain things is not great.

How does this work for SEO purposes?
Do you actually OWN the content since it's on their server?
What are their terms of service for you doing this kind of thing since they're not technically a "hosting" company but some hybrid?
What if you need to access the hosting panel and edit or move the higher level internal files? I know it says "same as other companies..." but I highly doubt it.

Anyway, just something to think about. You can get the Google vouchers for your clients by joining Google Engage.

This would be my course of action:

        1. Either learn HTML/WordPress or Joomla and get a reseller account for hosting.

        OR

        2. Find someone on WF in the Warrior For Hire section who will take care of the web designing for you, and then learn at your own pace if you still want to.

Still get a reseller account for hosting your client's sites.
Join Google Engage which is a program specifically for offline consultants where they will give you vouchers to give to your clients if you follow their guidelines.

It's not that I don't like Wix... it's just that there are better options that will give you (and your clients) more freedom and control. Hope this helps!

I am still stuck right now.

There are too many options for creating a website:

I can use wix.com type site
    Artisteer.
I can edit free css templates in Dreamweaver.

I dont know what to do right now. Its not allowing me to move on to the next step.

Somebody please help me? I need a webbuilder that can create templates voor local businesses.

No because at the end of the day Wix pretty much owns the website if I'm not mistaken. I'm also pretty sure their sitebuilder is proprietary, which means if you want to leave you'll be at a road block.

If you want to sell websites, start from the ground up learning how to build them. If you don't want to spend the time learning how to do it the correct way, then you shouldn't be selling websites.

Example - you base your business/career off of Wix.com, what do you do if they go out of business (hypothetically) and you have no idea how to work with websites other than a drag & drop website builder...?

What do you do when a customer needs a custom solution that Wix.com doesn't support?

What happens when there's a problem with a website and you don't know how to fix it? You mention editing via Dreamweaver, why not build from there?

I would recommend you rethink your business model.

Thank you for your honest post.

Then the best thing to do is learn how to create a website.
And maybe take a hosting reseller package right?

Where will I learn building websites?
Like Html, CSS. Do I need Photoshop skills?

I would like to create WordPress themes too because its easy to manage.

Yes, I would say this is the best route. As far as hosting goes, you've got 2 options, which I'll explain the pros/cons of both.

Stay away form "unlimited disk space/bandwidth" as there's no such thing. Read their Terms of Service closely and you'll find that you are in fact limited. Typically "unlimited" everything hosts tend to overload their servers and focus on "quantity" not "quality".

        Shared Hosting
Shared hosting would be the cheapest route. You can use addon domains which will allow you to host multiple websites under 1 main domain account. this is ok, but could potentially cause problems. If the main account gets compromised, all of the addon domains are exposed as well. There's also no organization or ways to divvy up resource usage. (memory, disk space, cpu etc). If one of the addon domains gets a ton of traffic, which spikes the CPU usage, some hosts will suspend your account, which will be the main account. This will result in every website being suspended since they reside under one user account.

        Reseller Hosting
Reseller hosting will allow you to create individual cPanel accounts for each website. You'll be able to create specific packages (space, bandwidth, features etc) to be assigned to the accounts you create. Each account will have its own emails, user accounts, login info etc. This will allow you to have better security, performance & organization. If one account starts using a ton of resources, that single account can be dealt with and not affect the rest of the sites since they each run as their own user. A reseller account is a little more advanced, but I personally think it would be the better option. There are tons of guides on configuring the settings and most web hosts will assist you in configuring it. Some will even configure it for you.

        Skills
I would recommend starting off with HTML & CSS. You will need something like Photoshop or Gimp for editing graphics. Keep in mind that when one of your paying customers finds another website that looks identical to theirs, I doubt they'll be very happy. If you use templates, be sure to make that very clear to your customers.

There are tons of resources online for learning this stuff. I'll list a few below.

        W3Schools Online Web Tutorials

Software training online-tutorials for Adobe, Microsoft, Apple & more

Web development tutorials, from beginner to advanced | Nettuts+

You can also pick up some books from your local bookstore on these skills as well. Once you get that stuff down, move on to php/javascript/jquery/mySQL etc.

There's also tons of forums with extremely useful info a well. A simple Google search can yield those.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Hopefully this will point you in the right direction.

If you go to the War Room, somebody posted for free his business plan for selling websites to offline clients. I haven't tried it yet, but boy it looks promising. It's called 'Offline Quick Cash.' He talks about finding businesses with bad websites, arranging to meet them at a coffee shop, and showing them on your laptop a website you already designed for them. The War Room costs money, but there's a lot of great stuff in there.
