DVD creation and mailing service?

Just starting to get into emailing/link to video campaigns, and finding that a lot of businesses either don't have an email, or don't even have a contact form on their website.

So I'm considering the idea of just sending the video file off to a company that can create DVD's and do the direct mailing, so I'd just provide them with the video file and a list of business contacts physical addresses that I want them to mail to.

Has anyone done this, can you recommend any good companies that do such a thing?

Cheers,

Nick

If you are just starting out you could try sending your clients a letter that contains a link to a video page on your site.
    e.g. yoursite.com/videos/AKME-corp/ or site.com/training/how-to-do-abc/

that way you will save yourself creating DVDs that nobody wants.
It boils down to the cliche of knowing your customer.
I am sure that some companies may not have sites but they most likely have internet.

P.S. the links I suggested a long maybe you can use shortening services such as bitly or similar

Video marketing is great, but trying to get leads / signups from them is a bit puzzling to me.

The problem with a DVD that is obviously an advert or a DVD that I did not order is that I have to do "effort" to get to YOUR sales message. In other words if I do not have a DVD player at the work adress where I receive your DVD I have to remeber to pack the thing, take it home, set aside time to insert into the DVD machine and sit and watch your sales pitch.

IMO lots of potential leads / sales are lost this way. The ROI is lower I would say as it costs you way more to produce and distribute DVD's with less people going through the trouble of watching it than for instance if you were to send them postcards or flyers.

With a well designed postcard / flyer you can grab attention immediately and get your message across without your prospect having to jump through hoops just to see your innitail sales message. And you can print THOUSANDS more flyers / postcards with the same money you will spend on a DVD service and get more eyes on your message with a higher return.

If you wanted to use DVD / Video I would use it as follow up for the ones who respond on the flyer / postcard. You may get good conversions then with it. Your flyer could say "send in your name + email to get our free video / dvd" . This way you pre qualify them and you only spend $ on those prospects that are interested.

DVD as cold call contact IMO not the way to go. Too much effort involved from your prospects to actualy access your 'unsolicted' sales message. I know for one if I get a free unsolicted DVD in the post asking me to play it to see the sales message I would not even bother. Why should I sit down and watch your DVD?

This is just me, I could be wrong and someone who has done this with success may chime in, but I would just suggest that with the same budget you could reach more prospects more effectively....

I've not used Kunaki but know lots of folks who have and have had great service with them. I would test to see what you're conversion rates are before going hog wild though. You may also want to check out CreateSpace - they will send DVDs as well - providing its a video/aduio -though most people know them for books.
    Good luck,
