I have a reseller HostGator account that was suspended for a few months due to my credit card expiring, and me not checking emails on account signed up on.

Is there a penalty SEO wise for any sites that I now put on this hosting account since it was suspended, or would you even worry about it.

It was suspended for several months. I didn't know if sites would be blacklisted or something since the account was suspended and if I should just move on with a new account to put my new client sites on.

Appreciate ya

It wouldn't be blacklisted at all, it would however lose it's ranking after a certain ammount of time. Google understands that hosting goes down and things like that, but if it happens for an extended period of time your rankings will suffer. But Google certainly isn't going to punish or blacklist the domain just because the landing page was a suspended page for a few months.

As jtchaschowy said - you won't be blacklisted, you'll just lose your ranking. Stick with the same reseller account and carry on what you're doing.

Moving to a new host or just re-opening the previously suspended account would be the same. Either way you'll probably need to get your rankings back up.
