Fortune 500 SEO -- Yes, They're Doing It, Too.

I just learned that a well-known Fortune 500 company, who mostly markets B2B, has hired an IM firm, which I have NEVER heard of, to manage it's SEO.

This Fortune 500 company DOES NOT show up on the first page of the local markets it is in -- although it is a Top 3 Competitor in it's product offerings -- and is extremely concerned about getting both local and mobile placement improvement, as well.

Obviously, this F500 has the same concern about ranking and generating more leads for its staff... as Joe the Plumber does down the street.

Makes you go hmm?

Very interesting, any chance you could say what the company name is?

Can't say until I release my WSO...

    Joking.

    I'm not allowed to disclose.

Point is is that it's happening. I guess many get tunnel vision into small biz and forget that calling on F500 companies (albeit a tremendously longer sales cycle) is viable, as they have the very same concerns JohnDoe Biz has.

Don't mean to be rude, but this is nothing new to the agency world. Been happening for a long time.

95% of IM'ers have great relationships with clients who also advertise offline and with other people. Stop missing out on that cash and leverage into it. PM me if you are an established marketer and want to find out how.

i think f500 SEO is easier, or at least very different to small biz. They mostly already have good authority and backlinks.
