Opinions on article spinning?

Hello fellow forumers,

I had this discussion with an article writer that is working in a certain company and he had a long comment in regards to article spinning. He has some good points but I have a different point of view.

Please post your opinions on the said topic. This will make it clearer for the both of us from the wise comments from warrior forum members.

    Used to work, doesn't any more. One of our sites went from position 1 to position 47 for our main keyword after we over did article spinning.

    There was another great thread on article syndication on the WF somewhere. Wish I could remember where it was. It offered some great advice on getting your writing syndicated properly.

    Personally, I've always seen better results with posting a well-written article to my own web 2.0 properties rather than submitting spun stuff to a directory with tens of thousands of other articles.

    Quality over quantity any day.

    It amazes me when I see people trying to shortcut solid work ethics. Google and Bing and Yahoo all have an opinion about spinning and they are totally aware that people do it. They will at some point, if they haven't already, figured out that you may be spinning and they will bump your sites. If you notice sites that seem to remain at the top through all the google changes do so because they do it right from the start. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the tricks and shortcuts. Good content, real back links, solid SEO practices will get you to the top and keep you there. If your doing this for a client it is even more important to do it right. Can you imagin having to tell your client that their site just dropped three pages?? NOT GOOD

    Article spinning never seems to work. They just come out like complete blabber or they have grammatical errors that just make me not take them seriously.

    Google is smarter than that. They'll catch people trying to article spin, they probably already have.

    People who say article spinning doesn't work are not doing it right.


    *I* spin by whole sentence, and each sentence gets 3 - 4 variations, so my articles look 10000% like normal, legible articles.


    Of course I don't spin anymore at all because I outsource my SEO, but my SEO guys spin...and I still get results.


    It's the same as it always was. Spin properly and it works.


    Click the "spin now" button and it's going to suck.
