best monthly residual service to offer?

any suggestions on good monthly residual services you offer to local businesses? i find web hosting is very tough as all of my prospects obviously already have their site hosted. any ideas? thanks!

      How does one go about initiating this kind of campaign? Do you outsource all of the work? Could you potentially refer me to somebody who's good at this?

        My mobile company can do this. You can easily outsource this work. You make the sales and then outsource the custom landing page, custom coupon. You will be able to provide real time stats and show your advertisers a real ROI. The ability to really track a campaign is highly intriguing to business owners. If you need help with the SMS part, we can help too. Mobile directories are great too and easier to launch if you have a sales team in place. PM if you need more details.

      thanks. i assume they need a list of their customers that have opted in to receive these messages?

        Yes, they should opt-in. If you have a list it is basically useless because the users did not sign up for the SMS blast. Unless of course the list is a general info blast that promotes: deals, annoucments, sales etc.

        Also, many SMS companies will not allow you to upload your own lists. Why, because the legal way to obtain subscribers is for them to opt-in to a specific keyword for a specfic action. It also protects the integrity of the short code and from spam laws.

          thanks! so, you pitch the client (as you explained above) and then show them ways to build a list. then you run the sms campaigns for them - correct?

      I do not use LimeCellular as they are basically a service provider who sells other companies products under their name. In fact, (unless things have changed) LimeCelluar is ran in Israel with a virtual office in New York.

      I suggest doing your research when selecting a platform especially if you want to have it custom for your own company.

    I have web hosting and SEO clients on monthly residuals. For web hosting, you need to frame it so it's really a need for them to host with you. Make it a no brainer for them. Of course you only offer this after you do a site form someone.

    SEO almost always comes with a website. In very few occasions I do something that is not a monthly residual. If I do a one time charge, then it better be worth it.

    I have a couple of mobile site clients, but I have not pushed this service at all.

    Other services you can offer are SEO, reputation monitoring/management, social media marketing, and lead generation off the top of my head. In the SEO category you can split that up in to countless offerings.

    How are you finding your leads?

    Seems to me you are targeting the wrong companies.

    How about targeting companies that don't have websites yet?

    You could offer them a free wordpress site and then charge them for the hosting.

    Direct mail. Sell them on direct mail campaigns and easily net a few grand a month. Good direct mail marketing will bring them huge results and big paychecks for you.
