Voicemail Drops - What Works, What Doesn't!

Lately there has been a lot of discussion about voicemail drops and broadcasting, and I thought I would add my company's results. My lead generation company does a lot of cold calling , email marketing, and direct mail, and are starting to add voicemail drops to our arsenal of marketing methods.

We are currently using the Open VBX system, and have had great success with it thus far. *It's functions are very versatile, easy-to-use, and it has a great interface.

If you are contacting businesses we have had the best results sending out a flow at night when the place of business is closed. *This ensures that the calls go to voicemail and our message is recorded. *If a human picks up we have integrated a greeting that says "Sorry I have the wrong number", and the call is ended.

What kind of results have you had with voicemail drops or broadcasts? What has worked for you? *What hasn't?

It's a great way to piss off the home improvement niche in your city if you do the drop at 6AM...two days in a row. The most unwelcome wake up call 600 plumbers will ever get.

You've got a great point. My team shys away from companies that generally are found using mobile numbers. Another thing I reccomend is not sending out a drop late at night in the event that it is a mobile number. Most businesses are closed by 9pm, and most people aren't sleeping at this time so it's a great inbetween time to get quality results.

Was hoping for some content from the OP. What is it that you do differently that makes callers return your messages?

95% of IM'ers have great relationships with clients who also advertise offline and with other people. Stop missing out on that cash and leverage into it. PM me if you are an established marketer and want to find out how.

I try to keep my messages brief and use words and sentences that spark the interest of the business owner. Offering an incentive to call back or use services, such as a free service is always a great way to get better results.

i mean instead of going for the question approach. I left a voicemail saying we can create your business a kick ass site and help you get more customers etc.

i usually get like 5 call backs on 1,000 drops.. :/ but they're qualified.

How many voicemails are left out of 5 call backs?

That's a very low number compared to what I've been getting.

My team prospects businesses all over the country generating leads for internet marketing companies such as yourself. Unfortunately at this time I can't release the exact method for my business's purposes, but I will recommend being generic when offering your services in a voicemail.
