Closing about 2 in 300 - Emailing.

Hello,

My ratio for closing sales by email is about 2 in 300.
now I'm thinking this isn't great - Here is a rough example of what my email looks like..

'Hello,
Was just on your website and was wondering if you would be interested in any of the following?:

- Web Redesign
- SEO
- Mobile Optimisation

Or maybe you would like a new website altogether!

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Jordan'

Thats pretty much how i'm closing 2 in 300.. But i want to improve! 2 in 300 is not enough! Any of you got any advice on my email that may get more replies?

Thanks in advance!

2 in 300 is pretty fantastic.

Now you use the word "closing"...do you mean replies, or actual clients?

It's unlikely they buy just from your email. What else are you doing as part of your process?

    Thanks!

Most people that reply go onto becoming an actual client.. Mostly the site re-design as I target people with websites running already.

I get a few replies that say 'No thanks'.. So yes, I mean actual clients.

I'm not actually doing much else.. Find out what they want - give them a price - get it done -send invoice. 2 in 300 may sound good but when I charge $140 (estimate) I'm in the UK so £97 to be exact.. Not exactly making a great amount.

Edit - PS, I Would say 296 out of 300 would just ignore my email and not reply. I'd like to get a few more emails back to create some more sales.

I recommend raising your prices. You will find yourself doing less work for more money. I have learned from experience that by lowering your prices you also lower the credibility of your company. When someone see's such a low price for a service, they generally consider it "cheap" right off the bat. I have also learned that the clients that expect the most are the ones that you charge the least. You will make more profits, get more clients, and have less headaches.
