Offline Business Builder Series: "Can I Do Offline Marketing If I Have Shiny Object Syndrome?..."

Hey Offliners,

I hesitated to write this today, but it's the truth.

All hope is not lost.

The truth is yes, you can still make money in offline marketing even if you have shiny object syndrome and simply must buy every wso that's ever been released.

Most times, I would quickly tell you that 99% of the time, you don't have a prayer at succeeding in offline marketing if you suffer from shiny object syndrome or WSO ADHD.

However, today I'll reveal the "one-way" I know about to get around this potentially offline business killing disorder.

Now, while I don't personally have a bad case of shiny object syndrome, from time to time, I do get off track.

Well, one of the only ways I know of to keep that from completely ruining my businesses is to outsource all of my "one-ways" of making money doing offline marketing.

When I say outsource, I mean that you hire a VA to implement your money-making activities, tasks and projects.

None of that hiring a VA to do meaningless stuff that doesn't really matter or make you money anyway.

Hiring a VA to just do things that don't actually make you money just because you don't like to do those things, is the quickest way to ruin a outsourcing relationship and waste a ton of money in the process.

If you have money to burn, then that may work for you, but if you're still a working joe, then you should mostly use outsourcers to make more money.

I learned that lesson the hard way.

In fact, I see people make that mistake all the time.

If you're going to add $200-$500 a month in expenses, you better make sure that money is doubled, tripled or quadrupled.

And with few exceptions, that investment should be coming back to your bank account about 15-30 days after you invested it in paying a VA.

And that shouldn't be a problem if you're truly outsourcing your money-making tasks.

So, if you get a really good VA or team together, they may even be able to do automated fulfillment for the offline services you're selling while you go full-steam ahead with your WSO ADHD and shiny object syndrome.

I'm warning you now though.

It's tricky to balance managing a VA and your WSO ADHD problem.

Honestly, I strongly advise against running your business that way if you're only doing it because you have shiny object syndrome.

But, it's a work around that a few folks have had success using in their offline business.

At least this way you will have money still coming in while you're blowing through your money like a drunken sailor jumping from thing to thing.

Do I recommend doing it this way?

Not under these circumstances. Building a team and outsourcing is a liberating, profitable and proven way to grow your business.

However, in most cases the same lack of attention-span and focus that is keeping you from really succeeding in your offline business, is the same reason why you probably won't be able to manage a VA effectively.

It might hurt to hear that, but it's the truth.

Sure, there's a few exceptions to the rule, but 99% of the time, the law of averages will win out over the exception.

So, if you just can't stay focused long enough to actually stay consistent with your "one-way" to make money in offline marketing, your only shot is to get a awesome VA or team around you to do it for you.

Hope this helps,

Chris
