Already having to re-authorize my CL account?

I've been posting 3 ads a day that are spread out evenly through the day for a couple days now and I already am having to re authorize my account with my phone number. My ads are completely unique and are not similar enough for them to flag me for it.

Why am I already flagged by craigslist? From the information I've gotten here in the offline forum, I should be safe posting as slow as I am with one account. I posted in a couple major cities like LA, San Diego, and the Bay Area, could this be the cause of it? I'm really not wanting to start being ghosted, any help would be really helpful.

If you have the money to invest, I recommend buying some PVA's

SF Bay is competitive with our services, same with san diego, so it is common to be flagged in those cities.

Verifying your number every 3-4 days isn't bad. I wouldn't worry about that. Being FLAGGED can be bad as that can cause city specific and account wide ghosting, depending on your success ratio.

When you start having to verify your number EVERY DAY, it's time to let the again go. Come back when it does that and I'll give you directions.

Will do, thanks in advance for the help. I was a little unsure of posting in cities as major as these and I guess the feeling was justified. I Think I'm going to try to stick to the 500k & below cities first and see how that goes.

This thread caught my interest because I'm about to start posting on Craigslist. At this point I only have 2 phone verified accounts (one w/my home phone and one w/my cell). I have been doing a lot of research online to try and make sure I don't mess anything up. But some of the information conflicts, and I'm not sure what to believe.

I live in the Santa Barbara CA area, but there are two surrounding cities within the county where I can also post, which are Santa Maria CA and Lompoc CA.

Would I list all three cities in "Location" and since I would like to post in three separate service categories, would I need to prep 3 separate ads that have been renamed?

With the 2nd account I would like to post out of the area; not sure where yet.

From what I understand this is what I need to do in order to not have my ads ghosted, or to stay under Craigslists' radar:

My ad is all ready to go.

        In my area:
Clear any existing craigslist cookies (I havent's posted yet so it may not matter; not sure)
Post 3 ads w/different names (first time)
Post 1st, wait for it to post, post 2nd ad, wait , post 3rd ad, done?
        Wait 48 hours, and renew(?)

        Out of my area:
Post 3 ads w/different names (first time)
Post 1st ad, wait for it to post, post 2nd ad, wait, post 3rd ad, done?
        Wait 48 hours, and renew(?)

Do I simply renew my first set of ads, and then post new "renamed" ads in 48 hours? This is what I'm not clear about.

Regarding IPs, I have read a lot of conflicting info. I do know that in my area I have a dynamic IP, which I'm not sure matters or not. Do I need to clear my cookies before re-posting?

If anyone can help me clear it up, I'd sure appreciate it.

If you use the advanced search above you will find a plethora of information and many of your questions will answered. Just search "craigslist" in the offline discussion subforum, thread titles only. Alot of gold nuggets in those threads.

Actually, I did exactly that. I spent the better part of yesterday scouring for threads regarding Craigslist.

And you are correct ... there was lot of good information; however, the questions in my post were not addressed, which is why I posted.

Do you have any helpful information?

if you are using the same account and IP Craigslist list has a 48 hr posting limited

Meaning you should only post once every 48 hours . if you are posting all three cities at one time then I would highly recommend you wait 48 hours before using that account. If you post sooner there is a excellent chance your account will get ghosted fairly quickly.

If you are going to use multi account as suggest you will need PVA's or at least another PVA and IP as Craigslist list is very good at catching multi accounts using the same IP and will ghost all accounts

That isn't really true, just a common misconception. You are right though, to comply with their terms you have to post once every 48 hours. Who does that though?
