How NOT to handle a negative customer review

I thought these would be obvious... but apparently not...

* Do Not publicly post the reviewer's name, address and phone number
* Do Not call the reviewer "crazy"
* Do Not "declare war" on the reviewer
* Do Not create explicit fake dating profiles featuring the reviewer
* Do Not send sexually explicit emails to the reviewer's boss and co-workers
* Do Not violate previous court orders

Restaurateur guilty of libelling customer over bad review

I live in Ottawa and this has been going on for a while. These people own two restaurants and reviews have been suspended on several web sites due to the interference and inappropriate behviour of the owners.
