Google Plus Business Pages trouble??

6 replies
So I have a client who has many different businesses and many locations for each business. I got to work building their Google Plus account and adding the Google + business pages. I added 5 pages and processed them for verification. For whatever reason it will not allow me to create any more pages. Anyone able to shed some light as to why?

    Did you try and create pages from one single Google account?

    Also... the business page / G+ local (formerly Google places) merging is still pretty new. I may be overly cautious but I don't trust it enough to verify G+ local listings via Google Plus Pages yet.

    As a rule, I would create each listing via Google Places for Business (Google + Local) and use a different Google account for each.

    I would also space out their creation a bit more to avoid being seen as a spammer. You could also try a proxy VPN like Hide My Ass. That may work.

      So how do you do that, did you create a dummy account for every location on the same owner. Kinda confuse here.:confused:

    Well if it's the same owner for each business, then you'll only create 1x Google + Profile with his real name. Then you'll create a Google Plus Business Page for each business / location.

    If he has more than 50 businesses, you're going to have to use a dummy account to manage the other business pages.

    Then - to control the G+ Local listings use dummy accounts.

    I buy dummy gmail accounts on Fiverr and use those to create G+ Local listings here:

    https://accounts.google.com/ServiceL...Fservice%3Dlbc

    then, I use that same dummy account to create other accounts with business directories, etc. If you plan on having a separate social media account for all, I'd recommend making them with the dummy account, too.

    Most of these sites will only allow one account / business per email, so you have no choice but to use dummy gmail accounts.

    This is how it will look:

    REAL NAME GMAIL ACCOUNT
    --> G+ Personal Profile
    --> G+ Page 1
    --> G+ Page 2
    --> G+ Page 3, etc. to page 50

    (if more than 20 businesses)

    Dummy Gmail Account for G+ only
    --> G+ Page 51
    --> G+ Page 52
    --> G+ Page 53, etc.

    Dummy Gmail account 1
    --> Google + Local Listing 1
    --> Citation accounts 1

    Dummy Gmail account 2
    --> Google + Local Listing 2
    --> Citation accounts 2

    Dummy Gmail account 3
    --> Google + Local Listing 3
    --> Citation accounts 3

    etc.

    You can keep track of all this using a spreadsheet easily enough.

    Again, make sure you're claiming / creating the G+ Local (formerly Google Places) listings the old fashioned way. Simply go to the link above and look up the phone number.

    I'd recommend doing a search on business name and phone on Google Maps first, though, to see if a page already exists.

    I hope that helps.

      @ Kung Fu... Excellent info! Turns out that the reason I was only able to add the (5) pages was due to the fact that I was creating the pages and sending for the verification at the same time. So I had a newly created account and within a few hours has five pages submitted for verification. I was only "locked out" from creating new pages for 24 hours. After that I created 17 additional pages but did not submit them for verification. I am submitting them today so we will see if Google+ will only allow me to submit 5 pages for verification within a 24 hour period.

      Thank you for the very valuable info!

    You're most welcome. Thanks for sharing your valuable experience.

    Remember what I said about verifying via G+ Page. I still think it's best to verify via the old route.

    Also... love your signature
