Welcome to the warrior forum. I am happy that your marketing 101 class pointed you in our direction.

As for buzz marketing like any marketing it will work for every product or service but is it the best form of marketing for a said product or service? That you can't really know without testing.

Movies like the Batman trilogy have used viral campaigns that would be considered buzz maraketing quite well. Cloverfield is another movie that used it well.

I live in an area that often got product test launches (which is really buzz marketing as well) so I have seen it work in fast food and such as well.

Some might say that todays "blog economy" is based on the use of a form of buzz marketing. Where people brand themselves and their products to smaller groups of fans. And then cross promote. The Tim Ferris has used this kind of marketing quite well to push his products and those of people he chooses to promote.

Hopefully this and a few other answers from people will help you form your answer for this paper.
