This may seem weird and this may also not even be the place to ask this question but hopefully someone with actuall experience will take just a moment to answer for me.

When inputting keywords is it necessary to input variations of the same words such as:
plumber city state
plumber city st
city st plumber
city state plumber
plumber city
city plumber

It would seem as long as the words are in there at all that you probably would not need to input it in all the various ways but then that is just me thinking. I'm not interested in my or anyone else (no offense meant) thinking but rather I am interested in the voice of knowledgeable experience.

If someone has experience in this and can guide me it sure would be helpful. My intent is to rank some videos and every little edge I can get will help.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and for your help.

EDIT: I just realized this was the wrong place to be asking SEO questions so please forgive my oversight and mistake. With that said however ... IF you know the answer to my question, I am the type of guy who is highly appreciative and will say Thank You for your help.

    Yes, you would use all variations.

    If you have ever used google's keyword tool you will see why. The search terms receive different numbers of searches each mo.

    Also include;

    "plumber in [city]"
    "plumber in [city] [state]"

    I have never seen a reason NOT to include all variations.

    Funny, I was thinking of this a few days ago and got a local guy to buy into it (cheaply of course) for a trial run. The potential is there if you do as abbot said, be specific on your keywords and then try and get a url with that in it too. Then SEO on/off page and I think this concept will work.

    Hoping to launch this one here by Monday so I'll let you know how it turns out.
