Forwarding Your Information Via Email

We've started Cold Calling and nearly 50% of the people ask for us to forward our info via email.

In your experience are they really interested in what we have to send them or are they trying to avoid telling us no over the phone?

Also, what would you send them to get them excited?

We introduce ourselves, attach a flyer with our services, and we try to set up a quick meeting with them.

What could we be doing better?

We're selling PPC management btw.

This is a put-off. They have no intention of doing anything about the "information" you send.

Whatever your callers are doing, they're coming across as a commodity and not as problem solvers.

What are you saying to prospects? "We manage PPC campaigns"? Who cares. Your prospects sure don't. They want a problem solved. Probably...a problem of how to get a steady stream of qualified inbound leads.

Agreed. When I get cold callers the easiest way to fob them off is to ask them to forward info via email. That way you don't have to deal with them trying to fight your objections.

I agree with Jason, approach the calls more as solving a problem rather than selling something. A cold caller closed a sale on me for the first time EVER using that tactic about 6 months ago (dude was goooood).

I would probably also do call backs a week later on the people that asked for emailed info. That will certainly weed out the do not wants from the prospects.

    Good luck

Why not just have a nicely written email series ready to go on an autoresponder and when they ask for more info get their email address, submit it to the autoresponder and then follow up with them within a week.

It can't hurt to do what you say you are going to do. It might hurt when the few people who really did want that info ask you why you didn't send it when they asked originally.

Actually I think this is a really good idea.

I just asked my Cold Caller to do that!

Yeah bro, they're blowing you off. But rather than get into that situation, offer them something for free as a way to extend the olive branch to a local business and start a new relationship. This can be a free video, website analysis, marketing guide, tips, etc. But make sure that they see VALUE in it.
