Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has tried the shopper dockets (ads on back of receipts in major shops) and what results you have had for clients or yourself.

Myself I burned around $1700 over 6 months on them for a business I market for and got no results. Offer was great, ad copy was great. I needed at least 150 conversions a month to break it even and I averaged 40pm. Ouch.

I spoke to someone else who swears by them, but then also openly admits he does not monitor the results of his marketing efforts (I smell a client ).

So is it just my bad luck or are they a waste of time?

We are all shoppers and personally I don't look at anything on my receipts except for what I was charged. I totally ignore all ads on them.

Honestly I just throw my receipts away. Most people don't look at them. Thus I would never even test this unless the break even amount was like 1 or 2 people. The fact you got 40 is way higher than I would have expected.

Now if you have a store that has a machine that prints out coupons seperately I believe this would work. They will get one or more bounce back coupons for the store itself and then your offer as a coupon.
