Image to the left of Google SERP entry

I've been doing my homework on this & it seems a little confusing. Does anyone know a simple way to do this with clearly outlined steps? I've been reading conflicting things.

I'm trying to get a clients image from their G+ page to show up to the left of the entry in the 7 pack.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

    Do you have an example?

If you mean having an image from G+ in search results, it's called author share and you can find a ton of ways to do it....here's one. How to Add Google Author Tags to Your Blog for Improved Search Results | Social Media Examiner

Here's a plugin I used (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK) that is actually FREE and they have a full set of videos to help you out.

There are plugins and tutorials all over the place. Some suck, some are better. Doing this is kind of a process so you may want to look around for a better one.

But if you are talking about images in the local 7-box I have not heard of that.

I haven't seen photos in the G+ local listings either, and would love to see your source on this, please

As far as photo in the regular serps, look up authorship on Google. It's very easy and only gets complicated when working with multiple authors on one domain or working with ?rel=publisher markup, which is used for business pages. I found it tricky to get them both to work together and just do authorship for the time being.

Use the Google rich snippet testing tool to check. It isn't perfect, but it's the best we have, to the best of my knowledge.

I understand how this can have your image appear in the search engine results, but the corresponding link goes only to your Google+ page?

Well the page that is in the serps will be the page that profile has authored. Can be a page or a post on a site.
