Local App Broker vs. Biznessapps

Does anyone have experience with both of these programs. I know the hosting on the biznessapps program comes out to about $30/mth per app. I can't find what the cost is with LocalAppBroker. I have spoke to the guys at biznessapps numerous times. I have a couple of current clients that have showed interest. I was going to use biznessapps for this as a trial . Then, start promoting apps in my local market. I am curious to know how the LocalAppBroker program compares both on ease of use and monthly hosting per app. If anyone has this info, please pass it along.

Thanks

I have emailed localappbroker with questions. Once I get the answers, I should have a better understanding how this stacks up with biznessapps. I will respond back on this thread with what I find out.

Local App Broker is a reseller of BiznessApps from what I can tell.

LAB charge $39.95 per month, compared with BuzinessApps $30.

Downside with BuzinessApps is you have to commit to a minimum of 10 apps per month, so you're starting at $300p/m.

LAB also charge for access to their system, plus their GoMobile lead gen tool totalling $97p/m

LAB has so great content and sales tips but I think if you want to achieve your goal, then BuzinessApps will be fine..

Suggest you search the WSO section, you'll find much better App builders than either of those, and without having to pay monthly for each app.

            Sure PM sent.

Before anyone else asks, it's easy to find WSO's if you just type your keyword into the WSO Search Tab. In this case you would type in "Mobile Apps" and up comes all the threads relating to mobile apps.
I do not like to promote WSO's by posting links in general threads. I am not an afilliate.

I use biznessapps and I love it. I get clients from both the web and offline. Online iPhone, Android & iPad Mobile App Builder, Make Apps Today! is my reseller site I set up.

HOWEVER, you do have to agree to a minimum of 10 apps per month at $30 ea.Just an FYI.

Why would anyone agree to pay for min of 10 apps every month, plus monthly fees, plus price per app fee?
You can find much better and cheaper by looking in WSO section and type into search bar keyword "Mobile Apps"

Jrod- I just went through your site. It looks real good. I am leaning toward going with biznessapps as well. I like your approach with the monthly residual instead of large setup fee. How are you billing? Are you automatically hitting their cards on the 1st of the month? If not, I could see where billing could be a headache.

Bizness apps rep(Greg) and support have been really helpful answering my questions. Also, they have sent over examples in numerous niches . Not , just the niches on their site. With the volume you are doing, do they cut you any kind of deal from the $30/mth(10 min) rate. At the numbers you have listed, you are netting $15-55/mth per customer . I am sure that adds up nicely with volume. Are you also upselling sms? I could see how this would be real beneficial. Surely, with the bar/restaurant clients.

    Thanks again for the info!

Rolltide - Their support is pure awesomeness! lol

I'm billing via paypal for now. it's works out for me.

The volume doesn't matter and the price is set to a minimum of 10 apps and $30 for each app after that.

I'm netting $39 a month for each bundle sign up (it's the most popular).

Also, to my surprise, a lot of consultants and developers ask to build with Appbotic. So I offer them the bundle at $45 a month per app. It works best for those developers who only are making under 10 apps.

As for the app build. It only takes 30-45 min but I'm also including custom graphics and using photoshop.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help.

      Is appbotic your website?

Is it fully self serve? can the business owner get to the end, pay, and launch app to app networks?

      Or

Is appbotic allowing the "client" to visually build the website using your template designs....... Then you create what they want for them?

Full disclosure, I'm a reseller for business apps.

AppBotic is a website I built for the app platform. The backend is a white label version of the business apps app builder.

The customer/developer can create the app, upload custom buttons, background images, headers etc. Once they are done creating the app they use the submit form which is a form I've added. Once filled out, i get a notification, the developer login details and upload the app to both marketplaces. it also creates a HTML5 version of the app for mobile websites and includes the redirect script.

I would just like to breath a little life into this thread because it's a subject I get asked about all the time over at our FB page (see signature)

I have a non-biased review of the LAB (Local App Brokers) system and the biggest expense I don't see anyone talking about is the fact that you have to pay $97 for each app code. So if you want to create four demos for your next sales run, you're going to have to pay $97x4. Through the LAB system (unless they have changed it) you only get another "free" code once your app has been approved, otherwise you have to pay for new app codes. Something BizApps gives you unlimited access to. You can create as many demos as you want with no extra charge.

Here's that review again, (there's no affiliate sales or promotional links in this review)

Biznessapps support was great. They eliminated live chat, which ticks me off. But their email support is still pretty good.

But I REALLY hate that they eliminated live chat, since we are resellers. When I have questions to be answered for a client that contacted me...they don't like waiting 24 hours for a response that might not have answered the original question correctly.

I can wait 24 hours for a response...because I am in the IM world. They offline world does not like that.

Enough rant. Its a good system, and they now allow you to make free mobile sites, and free android apps if your a reseller. They only charge you for Apple apps.

@ Cando4you, SJJPFTW, and ZORO...not sure why you guys won't post "better" app builder links in this thread, as it's not a sales thread, but an open conversation and help other warrior type thread.

But if any of you can list better app builders here or PM me them (I am oh so slowly getting to my 50th post after 4 years lol) I would love to compare them.

I signed up for LAB just over a week ago and I'm new to the whole marketing gig in general. I do want to just correct some of the comments. First off the Go mobile leads machine might cost $97/month if thats all you get but when you sign up for LAB it is completely free. The hosting is $39.99/month per app for both iphone and android and there is a fee of $97 for new app codes but that also includes the approval fee for apple and android. If there is an approval fee, but I can't see why apple or android would do it for free. There is absolutely no minimum amount of apps to get per month. Which is great because from what I just read bizzapps makes you take 10 apps a month at $30.00 per app for hosting. Thats crazy! What if you want to go on vacation and do nothing? Anyway the training has been quite in-depth they give lots of idea's to close the sale. Plus they offer Financing to the business at very respectable rates. If the client gets financing ,you as the broker don't have to wait for the monthly payments, the financing company pays you out right away. Just talking to a few business owners in my area I got 2 possible apps to build.

Now I'm no expert and I haven't tried any other programs so if any of you who have more experience than me have any suggestions for selling apps in a low population area I would love to hear them.

      Hey Jbrown,

If you are using Local App Broker there are other options that are more affordable. I use to be with LAB but was tried of paying all the "extras" that they have to develop apps.

With that said, I went to Bizness Apps and found it way better for my needs. However I know that the $300/month up front cost can be a bit much. I built a website vogdeveloperapps.com which offers the exact same app software for 1/3 the cost that Local App Broker charges. Not sure if that would help you or not but though I would suggest it to you anyway. As for app approval, once you build your app I will submit it for you and insure that all areas are met to get that approval on Apple and Google app stores.

From my understanding working with LAB...they do not guarantee that...at least not when I was using their service.

As for the leads machine...why pay $97/month for that when you can use Google which is free or take a drive around your city. Driving around helped me find some amazing businesses that I have built apps for. $10 in gas and a return of $4000 in sales seems pretty good to me.

As for the $39.99 charge LAB charges...I also charge that but only when the app submitted to the app stores but I then pay $30 of that $39.99 to Biznessapps.com. So there is no huge mark up or profit being made. Vogdeveloperapps.com allows you to build as many demo apps as you want...unlike LAB who says they will charge you $97 per app to build.

When I requested more apps codes to access the app builder LAB made it seem that they were doing me a favor by providing more app codes for free. Charging more to develop demo apps made no sense to me and that is also another reason why I left LAB.

If you were looking for different options there you go. My app developer site vogdeveloperapps.com is actually a secondary to my main site Vogcalgaryappdeveloper.com so the developer site is just something set up for developers looking to get started. Hope that helps

      All the best

For what it's worth the crucial part in all of this from my experience is getting approved by Apple.
It can be tough to get your app into the app store. So we went with Bizness Apps to get the quality we needed.
With several apps now live and more to build i would recommend bizness apps over most others...
Add to that a high standard of graphic design and you are set so if you can't justify the $300 a month for a bizapps white label then go with someone like jrod014 who will make it easier for you!
FYI we don't know each other, i am just giving the benefit of my experience as someone who is doing this too...
    Cheers

I have been with bizness apps for 3 months now. And they have been good for me. Like a lot of others on here I was on a Go Mobile Webinar a few months back.

I was not to keen on mobile apps but after doing research I saw the potential (assuming you go after the right market). Then after doing more research I found out that Go Mobile was a expensive reseller for Bizness apps via this website and decided to give Bizness apps a try.

For the most part I like their platform it is easy to use and they do get back to you pretty fast. There are some features that I wish they would offer.

Just in case you are wonder what some of those are here are two:

One for example is they offer a HTML5 with in the package that offers a redirect script for a clients website, which works great, my issue is that this shows the redirect url in the browser so instead of company.com or m.company.com it shows my app website name. Making the user think they are on another site even though they see the same content as the app or original website.

Secondly the ability to add Admob or Airpush the the apps would be nice.

I have emailed Bizness apps about both issues and they have gotten back to me right away. So again I say their support is great.

Currently I have only created apps for a few companies just to build my portfolio up. But I can honestly say that when I show them the app on a phone 95% of the time they are in WOW mode.

On side note does anyone know of any bizness app support groups where we can share ideas and all that jazz.

@jrod014 how do you handle the HTML5 issue or do clients not care.

I think that businesses should be using their app as a marketing tool to drive customers in and therefore adding AdMob could be a dangerous idea (to see ads from competitive apps/businesses).

Imagine if you sell an app to a restaurant and they have admob in the app. Then their customers start to see ads for other restaurants in the app, not ideal.

Although I may have misunderstood your comment, do you mean admob ads for apps that arent for brick and mortar businesses, more for content/media led apps? In which case that could be great, I agree.

Full disclaimer, I run an app platform called appsplash and we always encourage businesses to think of the app as a marketing tool for driving footfall and with our location based analytics we can see the impact!

Great to see so much interest in the apps space here, biznessapps seem to have done a good job empowering businesses with apps which is great for all parties involved.

We also offer a white label solution with many partners on board so I will post a special offer on here the proper way as soon as i can figure out how.
