How much to charge Upsell Services

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I have a very simple question that I would like to get everybody's opinion on. I have a new client who is a restaurant owner who I made a video for. Courtesy of this thread.

He loved the video and asked me if I could make a mobile website or a mobile app for his business. I was wondering what is the average price I should charge him for this task. What is the difference between a mobile app and a mobile website?

Mobile Apps it is a term used to describe Internet applications that run on smartphones and other mobile devices. Mobile applications usually help users by connecting them to Internet services more commonly accessed on desktop or notebook computers, or help them by making it easier to use the Internet on their portable devices.

A mobile website is similar to any other website in that it consists of browser-based HTML pages that are linked together and accessed over the Internet (for mobile typically WiFi or 3G or 4G networks). The obvious characteristic that distinguishes a mobile website from a standard website is the fact that it is designed for the smaller handheld display and touch-screen interface.

I have no idea how much to charge for the task he wants you to do. You might want to do a little research.

Surgematrix explains the difference of the two and I agree.

I would take a look at what kind of sales that the 2 upsells could bring in and make a valued proposal by that or maybe even do a percentage split.

What kind of sales does the restaurant bring in weekly?

If it's on a higher end, then do a premium upsell or if you're not comfortable charging a higher premium, do the percentage split of new business or track the business from the mobile website and app.

Look into Warrior Will's mobile WSO (people are talking prices there... it would depend on your location). You might want to consider doing it for free if he buys text messaging for x months...

I sell them for 357-465 dollars (I'm in Chicago) but they have to buy something else that's monthly (so far, it's been SEO). I found some people around here (Chicago) (but they're already renting traditional sites for $60-80 a month) selling them around 250 dollars (mine 357 gets 4 pages, 465 gets 6). I have a 3-page version at $297 that nobody's wanted.

I meant to sell a lot of them but got sidetracked selling other things that I find more interesting to do though not as easy to sell.

Tomorrow I shall start selling them again (my experience: If they see demos, I don't have to say anything, they want them).
