[THIS] .. is How You Sell SEO !!!

Just take a look at how this guy sells himself. Then take a look at your own website and see what you're doing wrong. Simple.

Neil Patel | Digital Marketing Consultant

See if you can spot how he's utilised the following:
  • The Headline
  • Identifying the Problem
  • The Pitch
  • Establishing Trust
  • Takeaways and Overcoming Objections
  • The Call-To-Action
  • The Signup Form
  • Urgency
What could you take from this and implement on your site?

then you gotta deliver like Neil does! He rocks.

However, notice on the graph, there are no numbers, an increase of 30% when there were only 100 visitors and |$1000 revenue at the outset isn't so amazing, of course he done more than that, I'm just suggesting a similar graphic can work for genuine but lower numbers too.

Great example Chris. His blogs are good too

Yep, he is solid and having testimonials from big names doesn't hurt either.

I was going to mention Neil's blogs straight away. He gives a lot of value on their and I find myself constantly sharing posts. I think 30% growth for a site like TechCrunch must translate to massive volume.

That is a very effective sales page. Note how with the exception of 3 case studies, there's nowhere else to go...he doesn't clutter it up with a bunch of other pages. The graphics are interesting, the layout is extremely readable, and the testimonials are great. The tone is consultative...if we're a fit, good, if not, that's OK too. I found myself surprised that those big co's would allow him to use their logos...wonder how he got permission.

Ehhh... I hate the "only one spot left!" tactic he uses. Oldest trick in the book, and kinda insults the customer if they are half smart. The rest is ok. he could have mad it even shorter... On my website I just talk straight up about why you need the service, and if you want more technical info on the actual work I'll be providing, I link to a separate page for that.

Same. I thought everything looked pretty nice until "Only one spot left!".

That just killed it for me.

It isn't one spot left, it's one at a time. So there can never ever be more than 1 spot, I think it's very clever and probably has people filling out his form, which is the entire purpose of the page.

Yeah, the whole "ONE SPOT LEFT!" left a slight bitter taste in my mouth. Otherwise, it's an awesome company page.

If the guy actually worked for Microsoft and those other companies, then he's not just some man. He's damn close to being THE man.

And chances are he outsourced the crap out of that page.

Doesn't he work on conversion optimization rather then SEO? I saw this website a while back and that's what I took away from it.

For those who are going to swipe his page, beware.

When his potential clients go to his website, they are pre-sold.

And being pre-sold comes from all the marketing taken place prior.

The articles, interviews, the guest posts, conference talks
      and mentions by others.

Thinking people will suddenly buy after landing on your new
      swiped website is fantasy guys.

You don't understand buyer mindset and the different stages people take to get to the buying decision.

      Best,
      Ewen

P.S. I haven't seen mention of one spot per month or one left.

Just these..."Hurry! We only work with the select few each month."

We can offer our inclusive and done-for-you service to only a select few client at a time.
Therefore, we’ve got a limited capacity to take on new clients for the next three months.

Very cool site Chris. Thanks for sharing.

I have to admit I also wondered about the icons for Amazon, Microsoft etc. I wonder why he hasn't included those guys as case studies.

Hey! I completely appreciate the positiveness of Neil's words, its damn inspiring. Especially the graph made my face . Then I thought I wish this increase in growth would have been so easy.......! Well, being an Indian I am quite obvious that Neil Patel can say the above lines, because it comes directly from his blood. :p

I clicked on the case studies, and just got a message stating ' coming soon'.

I have read how some marketers sign up for affiliate programs for say amazon,
and then use this association to add credibility to their business website.

Page rank 4 for a single page website.

I signed up to his mailing list from his blog QuickSprout (google it, can't post links yet)
His posts are like reading a book, jam packed with easy to read info, he puts massive effort in to everyone of his posts.
I agree with ewenmack, most people that end up on his landing page are probably pre-sold on him before they every land there.
Copying that landing page with out the pre-sell would not achieve the results you think it will.

I'm extremely skeptical about these companies he's worked for. I mean seriously, GM and Microsoft? Multi-billion dollar companies put their marketing in the hands of an independent consultant? I need to learn this guy's sales technique.
