Wost Product you bought hoping it will make you money?

I bought a right heap of crap once, the sales page was nice and convincing. the guy was giving it the usual sales pitch

"This Will make you money on auto pilot"
"This product will drive 1000's of people to your site"

all the usual chat.

finally got to buying the product and it turned out to be one line of code you include on your web site and that was it lol

Natually I stuck it on one website just to see ( I was new to IM back then). after a few weeks and 0 traffic I got rid of the line of code and got a refund.

I have bought other really bad products but the "line of code" tops them all.

This one definitely triggered an LOL!

My worst one was - well, no, I've got 2. One was a method to "earn quick cash - money in the bank in 2 days" (I'm embarrassed to say I fell for that) and basically it was (without giving too much away) emailing people about something you found wrong online and charging (read "blackmailing") them to fix it - a simple fix they could do themselves. The second one ended up being against the terms of service of a social media site and would have risked getting me banned - ugh. That's the one bad thing about dime sales - sometimes you want to buy at a low price but then you don't get a chance to read some reviews.

But I agree with you - the "line of code" tops them all

lol that's ridiculous. I heard about one that was how you can show biz owners a mind map and charge them $5000.

Ive bought products with a complete lack of support that have had endless hassles. Im like a lot of IM'ers that see an idea or concept that they like and then purchase. Quite often we then make a note to get back to it and by the time we try to implement the concept we end up finding out its a load of crap.

Last 2 that come to mind are an seo report generator that is broken and a lead generation plugin called Local fusion from Agency scripts that stopped being supported.

Doesn't matter if oyu're a marketer or body builder.

    People always want that magic.

    Only magic, is work.

    Make it happen

PS: Oh btw, what product did I get hoping to make money? Every one I've ever purchased.

I stay away from anything with the words: quick, autopilot, anything with large amount of money promised,or when they obviously dodge good questions. Most seem to be crap but there are some good ones out there.

I've bought some software on the warrior forum that promised to make a squeeze page and promote it with it's own auto responder. The concept was excellent, but it didn't work and the promised second to none support did not exist. I ended up going through paypal to get a refund after asking the vendor several times for help and money back.
