Ideas for making money with a Van?

I'm thinking of buying a van/truck as my next vehicle, instead of a car. Thought it might be possible to earn some extra cash with it.

Does anyone have any new or inventive methods for making money with their van or truck?

Mobile signage, delivery, rubbage removal, leasing the space to blue collar service providers, corporate delivery. The list is endless really. Are these the types of things you want to do or do you want it to be purely passive income like the signage and branding?

Picking up free stuff from the side of the road and listing it for sale on ShopDrawer.com or having garage sales is a great one, I've done it before lots.

If I got myself another truck or van, I'd use it to offer almost free services to business owners (construction related is probably best) only requesting them to cover my gas, and listen to my sales pitch, take my sales material and pass it along. Gives you a shoe in the door with real focus from the owner/boss to get a mobile site, online marketing, traditional website or other services from you and be part of your client list while covering your costs of motoring around and meeting other business owners.
Offer to pick up some missing supplies or materials from a jobsite. Best to be prepared to have money to buy what's needed and cover your gas first, then take cash on delivery or whatever works for you and them.

Hey....a few mos ago I learned of a guy making $300 a day...delivering Balloons to Bakeries.

So....I took my old blue van and gave it a try and sure nuff....it worked. (See Photo)

      So....here's the program;

MOST people, when a Birthday is coming up, will get a B'day Cake from a local Bakery.

Well....if the folks buying B'day Cakes were introduced to some B'day BALLOONS (They're attached to the side of the Cake Display, so ya can't miss em)....they'd PROBABLY order some of the Balloons Too.

You betcha. To prove this out (I LOVE checking out New Ideas) I went to my local Dollar Store and bought 20 "B-Day" balloons for $1 each...popped them into my VAN and....went to visit a few local Bakerys to see if they'd be interested in My proposition.

I brought my batch of B-Day Balloons in to each Bakery....showed them to the owner and explained how he could "Gain Some Extra Profits" with each of his B'Day Cake orders.

They ALL agreed to "give the Balloons a try" and WHALA....THEY ALL CHOSE TO CONTINUE ON!

So....the answer is "YES!" You can make some SERIOUS Money.... deliverying Balloons to Bakeries! ....IN A VAN! (In fact, you can also do this with a Car. Takes more trips but...ya start out with what ya got)

So....after I found this program was a VALID Money-Maker....I went to the local "Welding Supply" biz and found that Yes...They will "Rent" me a Tank to fill Balloons so the balloons only cost about 12centsea....and you can get $2 each....giving you a NET of $1.88 per balloon (You can UP this by providing some creative Balloon Displays)

Don Alm....STILL trying out NEW promotion programs

You can put an ad on Craigslist for "Garage/Attic Clean-outs" ONLY $25.00
You go to the job and cherry pick all the stuff you can sell on ebay, CL, Amazon or at a storefront.

A Friend of mine does this and has told me of countless times he's found mega-valuable coin collections, art, sport card collections and the like. Don't discount this idea!

I've thought about getting my own signage and advertising Clickbank products (1 per side) that will be effective in my area, with 300 little fridge magnets that kids can peel off and stick on the fridge at home so mom, dad, family & friends can see them. Then do full time deliveries which will passively spread your message & products all around the city.

I saw just yesterday a box truck with advertising on it.
The mobile billboard had ads that would keep changing every 10 seconds or so.
It was on both sides and the back of the truck.
The guy just drives around in rush hour traffic and gets paid to do it....
