People are doing lot of stuffs in this days for getting the website surfed/product sold. So,now offline marketing has also been some way to gain online traffic to websites. I have seen many website advertising their website through TVs and banners around walls. So,what do you think is the best way to advertise your website/product offline?
Well, one option can be making t-shirts with the website link. What are your opinions on it?

You will need to get those t-shirts out somehow, so again you have the problem of needing to advertise the site for the shirts.
If you intend on giving the shirts to your friends etc, the amount of exposure is very minimal.
Apart from that, unless your t-shirts are extremely eye-catching and have models wearing them, I don't think they will get the eyeballs needed for any decent amount of traffic to your site.
Human advertising with t-shirts isn't nearly scalable enough.

I'm not sure what your website does, but if it's "cool", you could place ads in college newspapers (or whatever target market) with a coupon or surprise gift for visiting the site.

Word of the mouth is the best offline marketing. If your product/service is good people will talk about it a lot. It will pass through one person to another.

For me it's referrals and cold calling. Word of mouth is also a good way to spread the word around.

It may not be the best way but it's a good way. Get a classified ad in your local newspaper and offer a highly valuable Free report to your audience. The free report could give them some inside information on how to avoid certain unwanted problems or how to gain certain benefits that very few people know about. At the end of the report, show that doing business with you is the best choice.

    Hope this helps.

You can get yourself a large vinyl sign from a Lowe's or Home Depot for under $6 bucks. Invest in some Sharpie's, stencils, and some time, and create your own road sign. Include a catchy headline that solves the prospect's problem and cap it off with the domain to your website. Keep the sign simple but attractive. Plant the signs just off of relatively busy intersections in your city (but leave them off of the properties of local businesses).

If your local county employees are a concern for removing your hard working signs, then turn them into "weekend warriors." This means deploy them during evening rush hour on a Friday, and retrieve them Sunday night. The county employees don't work on the weekends. Make it a habit to deploy your warriors for each weekend.

The list of offline possibilities are endless.
If your goal is to get business without the web, then you have to do some research and analyze what your optione are. One thing is certain though. You have something that other want. Your goal is to let them know that. This can be done by exchanging business cards or leaving a few at businesses you visit. Passing out flyers, handing out brochure's that go over your products/services, signs on vehicles/windows/shirts/hats.

Distribute flyers. They are pretty effective to get more people to learn about your stuffs.

Yeah right. How many % of the flyers do you convert?

Look, you can write that how flyers are wonderful, but I have done my tests, and I have the numbers. You can say anything you want, but I trust my numbers.

It depends on what you are trying to promote to know how best to promote it.

In some cases you may even make an offshoot product for the offline market.

For example. Let's say you have a making money course that has videos, reading, and etc. To sell offline you might be best to repackage it as Books and DVD(s).

Also be aware of ROI. It's not worth buying $1,000 of airtime if you don't make $1,000 profit.

And make sure your sales backend can handle high volume if you get it from a TV or Radio add.

As for t-shirts the problem is not only getting the tshirts but getting people to wear them. I don't think you will get a good return on investment from this for most products.

When it comes to communicating with offline businesses, from my experience it would be face to face approach, then definitely direct mail. No one does this anymore. Offline businesses are sick of telemarketers and spammy emails.

I dont do much of the face to face, so i just pay someone on a commission base only. But i love direct mail, definitely works. Check out the local paper for potential clients. Check if they have a website or have some sort of online presence. If not, then here's your chance to show them why they need your services.

Most importantly make sure in the letter to be as personal as you can. Dont be broad in your approach.

Online marketing is better for online products. Because only online users will buy the online products. It is my personal idea.
