How about $3,000 from every Credit Union and Bank

Here's another one of my Money-Makers I'd like to SHARE.

When I was selling my "Employee Discount Cards" to local sponsors (mostly fast food places) one of my sponsors happened to mention that he had just joined a local Credit Union and he thought it would GREAT if the CU were to give a "Discount Card" to every New Member.

I told him that's a GREAT idea and...why limit it to CUs...why not have BANKS also....give New Accounts a "Discount Card" good for discounts at local businesses?

So....I make up a Presentation Page and truck on over to a local CU...and, lo and behold....THEY LOVED THE IDEA!

Again....I print "16pt Glossy Business Cards, Full Color with UV Coating" from almost ANY OnLine Printer (Vista Print or Got Print)...for $35 SHIPPED to my door!

So....depending on the CU and Bank...I found that most will order 1,000 for $3 each ($3,000 on an "investment" of $35) Wow! That's a 1,000% return on my money!

And...I found that some CUs and Banks will order more than 1,000 per year!

So...once again...just a "simple idea" can turn into a GOOD money-maker.

Give it a try! Here's the Link to my Presentation!

I envision midasman like a money vaccuum. As he walks down the streets of his local town, business doors open, and money comes flying out right into his pockets.

Sorry, when I see 1000% returns and what not I get excited. Maybe a little too excited.

Your a clever clever man mate

Have you had any problems from banks saying they need approval from HQ?

I don't know how it is where you are, but over in Oz pretty much ALL banks and CUs (even "local CUs and building societies" are multi branch and have a HQ that handles all their marketing etc centrally.

The local manager is usually more of a minion than a end of the line manager. Once exception here would be bank of QLD that operates as a franchise.

Did you sell them a private label version with their name on it or just your generic card?

Problem with this is that in the banking industry, mostly all marketing is handled at a corporate level. Due to the fact that they deal with peoples money they are watched by the FCC, and there are many laws and regulations when it comes to marketing. It would be pretty hard to pull this off.

This is the main issue I see as well. Credit unions that have multiple branches usually have a central Headquarters that handles all marketing efforts so they need approval before they launch any type of marketing campaign. I'm experiencing an issue like this with one of my current plans.

All of the people that reject this idea, before they try, need to retract until they have tried selling it to at least 10 CU's or banks. The only problem is the ROI is not 1000% but 4286%. Based on 100% ROI is $70.

      THAT is the "answer".

When I come up with one of my "Midas" programs....I do NOT sit there and wonder, "Gee! What about THIS? or "What about THAT?"

I just put a Sample Demo together and....GO OUT AND SEE PEOPLE!

        Hello Don,
Regarding the advertisers,,, Are you charging them to appear on your card and to honor the year long "special offers"?

I would think at least $100 from each advertiser would be fair for the exposure for a year.

I don't think he charges the advertisers anything, just a simple written agreement is needed to have the merchants honor the card, kept on file. He makes his money from selling the cards, not the advertising,

P.s. With such a profit margin, if you can sell them at that, might spend a hundred on a graphic designer, lol.

Nice theory...I tried it already with a friend that has worked in a local credit union for 20 years...Their Marketing people shot it down...they don't like Marketing tools that they do NOT have any experience with. I would love to see someone's success with this, if possible.

My question is, with the discounts from the local business(es) you gave away, how do you get them to agreed?

If an items costs $35 and you sell it for $70 , you make 100% profit,
If you sell it for $385, that is 1000% profit.

so, you have even more reason to be happy, just stick to sales and dont
    become an accountant.
