HELP ME PLEASE - Client Wants a More Targeted E-mail Campaign

I have a doctor who I do email campaigns for. Currently we have it set up where a visitor can download a "special report" and would receive the report as well as a series of welcome messages and a monthly newsletter.

It's working out well for him as he gets a lot of leads this way and some have turned into patients.

However, the doctor would like to segment his list in various ways and send a more targeted newsletter.

For instance he would like everyone to continue to receive the monthly newsletter, but also for his patients he would like to be able to send them more pertinent information, like new prescription drugs on the market that only pertain to them, yearly check up notices, birthday cards, etc.

I was wondering how could I set something like that up?

Where the doctor could have some type of interface on his end and would be able to segment these patients into different categories so each one could get a more targeted email campaign.

I don't see how this can be done with Aweber. Is there some software platform (not too expensive) I can get this done with?

Thanks.

I think the easiest thing you can do is to add a new campaign and name it "patients"...then just copy the contacts that turned into patients from the old campaign to the new one...
Thats how i do it...i have 2 campaigns...one for "Potential Potential customer" and the second for "Active customers"

    Hope this helps

Thanks, but how do you know when a lead becomes a patient? Does the doctor email me a list of patients' emails and I cross reference that with my list and manually take people from the leads category over to the patient category?

Also, while you gave a good idea, he is looking for me to take his current patient list and segment that into smaller lists so each one could get a targeted email.

The more I think about this the more it seems like a lot of manual work.

I think with Mailchimp you can separate lists to sub categories I am almost 100% sure you can do this. I am in the middle of developing a system for a local business that wants to do this and also they manage birthday parties and since everything wasn't been able to be done inside mailchimp only the sorting email part I am creating something from scratch.

When it comes to dealing with lead management / email lists it is often sounds like a lot of manual work...but the truth is that when done right it is not more then 1-1.5 hours/week...and if you do it daily ... not more then 15 minutes...

I would recommend Interspire, it's not expensive compared to paying monthly and you can do everything you need with it.

Email Marketing | Email Marketing Software | Interspire Email Marketer

    Kind regards
