First off, the person you need to talk to probably ain't open and or working on Sunday.

And if you cold call on a Sunday you can pretty much guaran-damn-tee yourself a lost sale of a potential client.

You ONLY call someone on a Sunday, if they have told you to themselves. Not if Mary, the secretary said to, not if it is a new list and you don't know them, and not if you are just trying to catch them in. NEVER call a home on a Sunday either...again, unless the person you are calling said to.

Also, Sunday is a day of rest...DO IT, so you can be fresh for the week!

Rule of thumb: Do not cold call on Sundays. Might as well take a rest as everybody does.

    Who does cold calling anymore?

Suggest that you take your business to the online world, create a sales presentation video, and let that video close your "prospects" without you ever picking up the phone to them.

What are you cold calling for? What kind of a business are you selling?

      Right!

Also, I would also highly suggest including a custom QR code with a free PLR report purchased from the WSO section.

TO the OP - Yes, no one does cold calling anymore if they want to make money. You should send out random mailers, shout from rooftops and use ESP to get the word out about your business.

*My comment was sarcastic. Just because you don't like it or don't know how to do it right, doesn't mean it's not successful. Not to mention, the OFFLINE section is not where you go to bash it lol.

That is great. If it works for you, then keep doing it.

Many of us never picked up the phone to recruit affiliates into our business online. Some still do it. Good for them. I have nothing bad to say about them but when people "close" themselves into your business when you are sleeping at night, that is just AWESOME.

If you click your heels three times and say there's no place like home, you might magically be transported back to Aunt Em too!

Give it up dude. Thats my advice. You are in a lions den, with REAL offliners.

Okay at first you said "closing prospects" now you are saying "Recruit affiliates?" Which one is it?

Agree to John Durham. Sunday is known to be the rest day / family day. Doing cold calling on Sunday is a Big NO to me. Why not give yourself a break and have it some other day. For sure you will have many success calls.

You would be surprised how efficient cold calling may be .
Also remember that people still like talking with real person on the phone ...

I love the sarcasm on this thread.

Now Im not saying this to brag... but I watched all I could stand of your videos...

If you listen to my audios, they are alive. They are dynamic, they are ME talking from my own heart and voice and personal experience.

I dont not lack any freedom of movement...because I dont lack things to say, and I dont have to think too hard, because they are what I really know, and the stories are of things I have really done.

      Now,

If you watch these videos, they are scripted, they are so full of cliche canned statements, they sound like a rehashed WSO...They are not alive, and you are obviously reading...lol

Its my opinion that you are not the real deal my friend, and you wouldnt know an offline client if they put cash in your face. My friends on this thread were more subtle... but Im just sayin it. Lol

That was like a slapstick shadow of a successful persons presentation.

Im sure you sell plenty of WSO's but Im also sure you havent sold very many offline clients.

Thats just me being sure, not being stated as fact. Its my opinion.

Iamnameless and ten other people can tell you here, that if you send an offline client to your website 90% of them will never even go before they write you a check. You are living in a fantasy world.

Even in direct mail, smart mailers dont send offline clients to a website, they give them a phone number, and maybe even a follow up call.

That was entertaining it was so slapstick and cliche.

Its sooo funny to me when people try to FABRICATE real excitement on video or audio... this one was at the bottom of the barrel at even ATTEMPTING it in my opinion.

Sorry, you opened yourself up for it! Next time Im sure you will be smarter than to walk into a group of people who have real experience making offline sales and say something so stupid.

Dont assume we are all fake in this subforum like many other online places where you may come from...and we arent stupid either... Its insulting.

I prefer resting Sunday. Prepare myself and be ready to work hard. Get more leads and sales next week. Also give people space Sunday too.

For me, it depends on the business I'm calling. Restaurant owners/managers can usually talk to me between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. I like to call service providers (plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, etc.) as well as salon owners and real estate brokers between 8 and 10 in the morning. I haven't found a good time for doctors, dentists and chiropractors - they've been pretty much hit and miss for me.

So from my experience, it depends on the business type. I'd be curious to test out different regions and see if I get the same results. I think I'll do that - thank you for sparking an idea

No, you do not call ANYONE on Sunday unless they told you to. Go spend time with your family.

I recently did a VM drop on Sunday with a voice broadcaster... and got a better response from it than the one I did on Saturday.. but in general, I don't cold call on Sunday.

I barely touch MY work on Sunday and don't respond to people who insist I do... so I don't expect others to be around. The VM drops made sense though, and were not intrusive.

Cold calling on a Sunday is something I would not suggest you do.

Businesses are normally closed on that day. If you're targeting residential areas, then yes, you are going to be told off a lot by people.

Sunday is attributed to be a rest day and a lot of people do not want to be bothered on such a day.

Cold calling on a Sunday, for me, is a definite no-no.
