3 Cold Calls = 2 Meetings = 1 Big Smile

Okay, so this morning i was out, came back this afternoon, and decided to call a few folks.

I got their numbers off the bulletin board at the library.

Anyway, I've got 2 meetings lined up for next week.

Just wanted to inspire someone who thought cold calling was dead. IT AIN'T DEAD.

Pick up the phone, they need your service.

A bulletin board where external advertising is allowed.

Different services, catering cleaning, yoga classes etc.

I think his technique is that he is clearly targeting start ups that are trying every way possible to get the word out and are excited about their new businesses.

They may not spend ALOT but they are anxious to try something that might work.

        As simple as that.

I said: hey, I saw your advert at the library, and noticed you did not have a website. I'd like to know if i could help you get set up with one so that you can get more clients using the internet.

That was my second call. The only reason why the lady would not meet with me was because she was exiting her business due to health issues.

By the way, i made another call today and set up another meeting. so now its 3 out of 4.

Definitely shows that going for a more personal approach ie. calling them up, is one best methods of successfully making a deal. I've had many instances where simply emailing a client wouldn't prove effective. So I picked up the phone, gave a call, talked a few minutes and voilas. I had just struck another payroll.
