aweber and displaying address

I am setting up a aweber account for a client. They are a home based business, don't want to use their home address of course.

I have recommended getting a UPS box with a physical address and suite #.

I am apart of some peoples mailing lists and noticed that a few people do not even put a address, instead they just make up a saying.

Just wondering what others do that utilize Aweber, do you just get a PO Box or UPS address to the CAN-SPAM act?

I noticed that you can adjust your address in the list settings (not billing/account info) but it looks like you have to use an address in your email messages.

    just use a po box, which they say is fine.

    a po box is like $60 a year or something

    Like everyone else has said, a PO Box is fine. Or you can get a virtual address. I've also noticed that some newsletters don't have an address on their emails. I don't know how heavily all that stuff is regulated but I would doubt you would run into any problems.

      Can anyone comment on this? I have also noticed this. I also know of individuals who use false addresses. How is this regulated, or what relevance to those outside US?

        Does anyone know how you can get around not using your home address if you live in the UK?

        Can Spam act stated the P.O. box must be registered in US and private mailbox has to be registered under postal service regulations (which UK virtual offices, etc wouldn't be).

    I actually got an email from Aweber a while back telling me that they had sent me something in the mail and it had been returned and that my mailing address must be the actual address in the email.

    It wasn't. It is now.

    Suggest they just use their home address. They can actually put "Home Office" at the beginning so that people know better than to just stop by. They should have nothing to hide, and it will save them money over getting a PO box. Just an idea.
