Best Local Business Listings Scraper?

Any recommendations on an accurate scraper for local business listings? Specifically, restaurants, bars, clubs, etc?

I'm building a local business directory targeting the restaurant niche, and would like to pre-populate a couple hundred listings to get it off the ground.

Tried searching the forums here for more info, but it's somewhat overwhelming, a lot to sift through. Plus, I'd like to hear what's currently working for you all.

I'm open to suggestions, and if there are WSO's you recommend, please let me how your experience has been using it.

Thanks in advance!
Scott

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

I don't use it personally, but my staff IT guy does, and it works as advertised.

I think it's perfect for your purpose - collect niche specific data. But if you want to create a region-based directory, i.e.; the all businesses in the zip code of 10001, i'd just buy it from a business database provider.
Muwa, great input I really appreciate it!

Claude, thanks again. I'll look into both these options.

          Have a great weekend!

I purchased this a little while ago from Ken http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ine-sales.html and while I haven't yet used it much, my initial tests were very positive.

I'd check that out along with the others suggested here and also do a search here and in the WSO forum and see what others have used too.

        why no to Kindle version?

don't mean to be a bother... just
        wondering...so many people are
learning how to publish on Kindle
it seemed like a great way to go..

Something that I was looking into,
        as well..

        Thanks

This is off topic. The quick answer is that I wrote it three years ago, and have moved on to other things. I use it now mostly as a part of my "speaker package"
