How to market a translation and interpreting business?

Hi everyone,

I have a friend who runs a translation business in Belarus...He provides written and linguistic translation and interpretation in his home country.

Currently he markets his business by posting on local business directories and networks.

His site is Professional Translation & Interpretation Service - Project Linguistic Support - Home

He wants to expand to the UK market...what is the best way he should market his business in the UK?

      Google AdWords is a good place to start. Is your friend a good writer? If he is, I recommend starting a blog on his site to help with SEO.

    If you want to market your business, you've got to have a website and do promotion. Promote on social media sites, video marketing works too.

      Yeah, you need to do promotion. However, you cannot do that without compelling content which draws in your prospects.

        Your friend can also check for companies in the UK who may need his services as they have clients already, maybe create a mailing list with all the companies in the UK that offer translation services for his expertise and approach them.
