Import Reviews To Google Plus Business

I am working with a dentist who has verified his G+ page but unfortunately he doesn't have any reviews on it. I believe it is hurting his placement in the SERPS. On the other hand, on Demandforce he has 78 verified reviews who give him 76 five stars and 2 four stars.

Is there a way to import reviews to his G+ page?

Thank you.

No... and usually the reviews aren't the problem, it is something else.

    Okay, thanks NameLess.

Here is where I get confused sometimes. For research I Googled "dentist in miami" (without quotes). I chose Miami because I lived there and there is a crazy amount of competition.

The number one spot is a dentist who doesn't even have a website. Just a G+ page that is properly filled out with a rating of 27/30 and 25 reviews. Not bad at all. My clients G+ page is also properly done and it includes a website that is always being updated. The only thing it doesn't have is reviews.

    Am I missing something?

There are others that don't have reviews either. Where is he ranking?

Citations, are very important. Aside from the listing itself, I believe citations to be one of the most important factors. Possibly more important than reviews.

I'm not saying to ignore reviews, lol, but there is usually a problem other than reviews for not ranking locally. That's just my opinion. But to answer your original question, no, there isn't a way to import them. Maybe find some fiverr gigs and have them copy and paste the demand force review in there... so it isn't exactly fake..

Wouldn't this come across as fake to Google if my dentist got 78 reviews on his account within a week?

I think I will just make up some "Review Cards" for him to give to his patients that point a QR code to his G+ page. He gets pretty consistent reviews so it shouldn't take long for them to build up.

          Yup, he would be doomed.

This is how it's done. As an added tip, have the owner respond to reviews (good or bad) as this really encourages prospective customers to take action.

If this were the case what is stopping unethical marketers from doing this to competitor sites so their clients sites get better placement?

Not really.. a QR code is next to useless. Most people STILL don't know what they are. You're counting on them to have a smart phone, you're counting on them to care enough to scan it, but wait, they have to download an app first. Then, you're counting on them to take the expected action.

Review cards are old school. In real reputation management, review cards don't exist. Publicity exists. PR exists. Review cards, are trash.

It will take a while because people aren't going to leave them. You don't get 78 reviews that fast... do 1 a week.

It doesn't penalize you. It just gets the reviews deleted.

My advice to anyone that is trying to collect reviews on your clients behalf is set up a private review page, collect all the reviews and then create accounts, season those accounts over a period of time and then start posting those reviews. (one per day per account). Make sure to switch up your IP by using a proxy if you are posting them yourself.

Thank you for letting me know how things work in real reputation management. Encouraging happy customers to post a review is old school and trash yet generating 'not exactly fake' reviews using fiverr gigs is the way forward.

        Good to know.

Eh, it's the way to get it done on Google + Local. Real reputation management has nothing to do with 99% of what you see online. That is why there is a different between ORM and PR.

And why is this even an issue? The OP isn't about Reputation Management...

The review cards with QR codes would just be useless.. Statistics back that up.

I encourage you not to copy and paste. These reviews will be filtered by Google and flagged as duplicate content.

You wouldn't want to import or copy reviews from one site to another but why don't you try collecting future reviews for the business owner and posting them to Google +. Google + is the most important directory because you need ten reviews to receive a Zagat score in the search results. Copying or importing these reviews would be seen as duplicate content and be filtered by Google anyways and remember if you are posting these yourself to use proxies and season the accounts you are using to make these posts.

I agree with the above. Demandforce is big, and Google will recognize the repost. Instead... take the URL to the DF profile and plug it into the Google URL shortener. Then add that shortened URL to the G-Places dashboard update box. Put in something like "Check out our reviews on Demand Force." Google will follow that and check things out.
Linda Buquet, a well known Google + Local expert did this exact thing with Demand Force reviews and said it brought one client to page one very quickly. Of course, since that client was working with Linda, all other ranking factors would have been taken care of, too.

Beyond that, you can link to the same URL on the website and in your other profiles like the G+ Business Page (you can add links to the "About" tab).

But I agree with iAmNameLess that more reviews won't necessarily fix your problem. You have to make sure the website is done well, the citations are done well, the link profile is clean... lots to consider.

Definitely do not post reviews on behalf of customers, though. Gotta disagree with others there.
