Forgive me, I have NEVER done any type of VB campaigns. However, I would like to play around and start a small campaign. I'm always looking for new ways to increase my sales front

For those of you who HAVE done Voice Broadcasting, how do you record your message/audio file?

I have heard that quality can be an issue when playing back on answering machines. I would really appreciate any feedback from those who have had success with voice broadcasting.

Good free, easy software to get you started if you're just doing podcasts, is
called Audacity. Audacity: Free Audio
Editor and Recorder Just install it, and hit record. It takes care of the rest.

If you want to do screencast demos, as well, my favorite by far is Camtasia.
It's not free, and your computer doesn't have to be mind blowing, but it will
run slow to the point of frustration on an older computer.

Jing.com is a good free alternative, but the free version only lets you record
about five or six minutes of content at a time.

Finally, the quality of sound is second only to the quality of the content in
terms of being credible. Invest in a decent USB condenser mic like one of
these:

Wasn't sure about Callfire, but checked the specs page:

Voice Broadcast on the New CallFire | CallFire

The box down the middle on the right says you can upload Mp3's so there you go.

Export your Audacity files as an Mp3 and you're good to go.
