experienced Gumtree users - Any risk of email banning for replying to ads?

Hey there guys,

So just doing a bit of experimenting with replying to ads to try and get leads for online marketing/web design.

Just using basically a template message that I've written out, providing a couple of tips/problems that I can see with the posters online marketing approach.

So I'm just wondering, do I need to limit my replies using the same message, do I need to use different emails, do I need to have multiple messages, etc - in order to avoid getting my email or reply banned by gumtree?

Thanks guys,

Nick

OK. I don't claim to know everything or much of anything. :-)

    What is gumtree?

GUMTREE is a free Classified Ads website much like CRAIGSLIST in the US but we use it more here in Aussie n the UK.

I'm not too sure OP on the replying to ads regulations of Gumtree, I myself do alot of marketing my own ads and services on there but have never done what you speak about. I guess there's only one way to find out though. Good Luck!!

Some say it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission

However, in this case - because your future marketing with Gumtree users is at stake, I would contact Gumtree admin dept. and get this info. directly from the "horses mouth".

They may also be able to give you some additional marketing advice and the do's and don'ts etc.
