Selling Niche Videos Offline Help Please?

Hi guys,

I hope someone can shed some light on a problem I am facing.

I have produced a good quality video that I am looking to sell to businesses in the same niche.

I will personalize each video with the companies logo on the first and last frame.

I will then approach companies and sell them their video.

Now, I have looked at uploading the video to You Tube but think I may get hit with a duplicate video error if I do this. The way the videos are made (whiteboard scribe) would make it too difficult and time consuming to change more than the first and last logo shot on the videos.

I would imagine most of the businesses I will contact wouldn't have a clue about uploading the video to their site themselves(small companies) and would see additional costs and hassle in hiring their web designer to do it for them.

So I am here to pick your brains into alternatives ? Please anyone know of any work around.... I don't want to risk using youtube as once these videos are sold I don't want to have too deal with irate customers moaning that their video has disappeared. So any one got an idea that can get me over the hump to start selling these. Your help is very much appreciated.

I don't think you need to worry about the duplicate video error. Even a tiny change in the video makes it unique. I'd suggest testing it out for yourself with a simple video - change the first and last frame and see if you can upload multiple versions.

Yep.. Just letting the video go for 1 second longer makes the video unique to youtube, even if everything else about the video is exactly the same.

That said, i'm assuming your market is pretty unsophisticated, as there are some pretty amazing templated videos available on Fiverr.com that allow you to personalise quite a lot, and cost... $5.

Is the video that specific to your niche that your buyers need to come to you?

To be clear, this isn't a criticism at all, i'm interested in what your business model is going to look like, as I think you've picked an interesting market!

You only get one shot at life - make it awesome.

Everyone else also gets just one crack at it - help make theirs awesome too... or, politely step out of their way.

So...you're going to sell the same video to buisnesses in the same niche in the same city?. If you can pull that off please share. Most of my video production clients do not want to look like their competition on TV ads.
