Hourly Rate For Web Developers?

What are the minimums and the upper limits?

I know it's a huge grey area depending on skill sets, client types, etc, but I'm just curious to get some feedback from experienced warriors.

I would guess at the very least, for web development, you'd want to be getting $40-50 per hour, at the VERY least.

Please give me your experienced feedback on hourly rates..

The maximum can go quite high and I can't put a rate on it.
The minimum should be about $10 per hour.

It's a tough thing to gage. U prefer to get a quote based on the job, not an hourly rate. Some web guys work faster than others, some are slow but the work should still be valued the same.

As a graphic designer, sometimes inspiration hits and I get a logo or poster done in no time! Other times, I just sit there doodling not knowing where the design is going. Obviously I cannot charge my clients for my brain farts!

$15 and hour for 3-4 years experience? If you're an incredible web designer you could get 10x that for some projects. Though web development is quite vague. If you give us an idea of what tasks you're evaluating I can give you a better estimate.

I charge $25 to $40 an hour depending on the project. It's the quality of the work that sends clients my way ASAP and all the time. It's also about recurring fees as well. But it's not my main source of income.

    Good Luck.

To be more specific, I was asking in relation to charging for maintenance and updates to my already aquired web design clients, so if they want something changed/added on their site.

Up until this point, I've said our rate is £30 per hour (about $50 in USD). I was thinking of raising it, but just wanted to get ideas...

I charge between $65 - $150 an hour for responsive websites if the website is going to take more than 80 hours in coding, design, development and deployment then I bring the price down to $65 hope this helps
