Need advice on marketing new business product

I have an idea for a new business that I would like to roll out and could use some advice on how to market it, I figured the offline forum is the best place to find good advice.

I've had some limited success from information found on this forum but never found something that was stable enough income to work it full time. The silver lining is all the information I gathered over the past few years has led me to a business idea that I would like to start and would like some advice on marketing so local and small businesses.

I have been working as a consultant for large companies for 15 years both pulic and private and all different types of business. The consulting work that I have been doing for my whole career is normally reaserved for larger companies as daily rates could range from a few thousand to five thousand per day and the payback is there for larger companies due to larger overheads/budgets. Simply put the consulting is geared to make businesses more profitable. Smaller companies are shut out due to the upfront costs and contracts by the best consulting groups. Smaller companies could benefit greatly but most likely not recover the consulting fee even if they could put it up the money due to 12 week minimum contracts.

Now to head off the obvious question on why I don't just consult independently...I've tried this and the majority of time is spent selling the service and not consulting and unless you are with a large reputable consulting company your value just isn't there.

So my idea after viewing many recorded WSO's and webinars was to sell consulting via webinar or recorded modules. I could gear the consulting to smaller businesses and it would have great benefit even for individuals that run a business independently. I'm thinking of 8-10 sessions total that were delivered 1 or 2 per week for webinars or all at once if recorded. The webinar benefit would be more valuable due to interactions and follow up support provided for any questions. I've researched the plan and couldn't find anyone offering this service but I think it would be extremely valuable.

Now I'm asking for advice on how to market this...

The options I'm considering would be offering this through affiliates or a joint venture with someone that could market and/or manage affiliates.

I'm looking for any and all advice on what is the best way you would market this service. I'm looking at selling at $150 for the 8-10 session webinar and $100 for the recorded slimmed down version that doesn't include the support. I almost forgot, with this program I'm also planning on including documents that I've created over my career that might be needed for implementing what I'm training. The value of documents alone are invaluable due to the time saved.

Other thoughts/ideas:
*I think this could be marketed locally and on Linkedin for the greatest success.
*I've found local businesses where I can consult them in exchange for recording it to use during the webinars
*This could be used by anyone offering a business service as a free upgrade to increase the value of their product/service.

That is all for now, but i have many more ideas to tweak this idea, just looking for the best way to market this idea.

    It starts with a group of people who have a problem that nobody else is addressing.

    Then you go looking for the best way to reach
    them with the right message.

    Get the first part nailed and the second part gets much easier.

    Can you tell us about this group that aren't being served

    Im not sure, if you have tried it, but Press release from a professional writer can be a very useful for introducing new product or service to the market. For a product such as yours, Google adwords should be a good idea, of course with proper keyword research and a professional campaign management. If you are not much into marketing, better to get into a JV with some one who can. It will enable you focus on what you love doing.

    You could use direct email opt-in lists and canvas all the businesses in your county or state. It's very cost-effective and not spam if you do it the right way.
