Getting A Contract Drafted

Hi,

Should i get a contract drafted by a professional lawyer regarding a particular licensing contract or is it better to go for one of the lawyers from the freelancing websites?

I believe if they have been trained as a lawyer and have good reviews from former clients, the quality of the work should be the same as those from big professional law firms? Am i right in this aspect?

Thanks!

I paid a lawyer $400 for a contract for freelancers I'd pay on a commission basis that I probably could've done myself. However, he did have some excellent advice as to how to protect myself in business, and if there are ever any contractual issues he has my back. :-)

You need to establish your business with a local attorney or group. THEY should be the ones to draft or review any contracts. That way WHEN someone has an issue and it cannot be resolved between you two, you can simply hand the case over to your lawyer.

Anyone that tells you differently has never been sued by a large company
