Plugin to syndicate reviews from local listing sites to website

Hi all,

I'm building a website for a new client and ran into a snag. Typically I use RepAgent (a plugin by Chad Wyatt I think) to syndicate/display reviews found on local sites on my clients' websites, but this particular client ONLY has reviews on Yelp. We have not started her rep management program yet.

RepAgent, for some odd reason, will NOT display the Yelp reviews. I have double checked and made sure that the code is correct.

Is there another plugin I can use instead of RepAgent in this case? I know I could just copy and paste the reviews, but that's not ideal because a plugin like RepAgent will automatically update my client's website whenever a new review is posted on linked local listing sites. It's convenient and my other clients love this feature.

Hi,

Thanks for the links, but I already did the same plugin search on Wordpress.org and those are not exactly what I had in mind. Most of them display a simple widget that includes the business's name, a short description and the average star rating.

I'm looking for a plugin that will actually syndicate full reviews from Yelp (and other local listing sites) and post the reviews on my client's webpage. Ideally the page can also auto-update as new reviews are posted. RepAgent worked great but it doesn't work for Yelp reviews anymore since Yelp changed their API, and the author of the plugin is unfortunately no longer supporting the plugin.

What you could try is a plugin that does google alerts, and set the alert to the restaurant's review page?

There's a WSO that talks about using Yelp here from which you might pick up some tricks-

Otherwise, instead of using a plugin, you could try (I haven't checked it out, but was just wondering) using an iframe or some such plugin and finding the div box for just the reviews, and posting that div box script in the iframe? It's not the prettiest solution, but it might give you a shot at working something.

Thanks for the ideas; I'm just really really surprised that nobody knows of a plugin that could make this process simple. I thought review syndication would be a feature most local business websites would appreciate. Maybe I'll just develop it myself!
