What Is Your Response Rate For Answering CraigsList Ads?

So I been trying to get new clients via Craigslist. I will run ads starting 2013 but for now I am just answering ads that are posted.

I am not sure if either they are not getting the email because I respond to that generic craigslist email OR it is something I am saying in the email.

I respond to each one with brief info on what they were looking for and what I do. I dont copy and past a response. My return ratio is super low so must be something I am doing right?

How is it for you guys answering craigslist ads...Are you getting a lot of replies back?

Thank you

You'll get a bigger response rate by posting ads for your business rather than posting.

It's tough, but you have to be different. Make the response clickable, and memorable and then the conversion rate goes up. I've given it some work, and have recently been doing a side line on it, but it's not that easy by any means.

I agree with everyone else's posts, but I think it would also be a great idea to offer some niche-specific ideas. If someone posts an ad looking for the promotion of a legal office for instance, then it is your job to go ahead and demonstrate some knowledge in that area.

Basically make sure that they know what you are talking about, and even offer a couple quick ideas on what you might do for them.
