Offline marketing techniques for affiliates?

Is anyone here an affiliate of a product/service/ebook/program/etc. that you market offline? If so, in what ways and what methods do you use market the offer and drive traffic to your website? For example, flyers on bulletin boards in supermarkets is one thing I can think of. Another is flyers under windshield wipers. What else is there and what kind of successes have you had?

    I tried to do this a year ago.

    I used to promote Affiliate offers through Amazon and then send out flyers to people's houses.

    Process is simple.

    1. Register a good keyword rich domain
    2. Sign up to Amazon Affiliate network.
    3. Focus on promoting tangible products
    4. Direct people to a website - make sure the domain is easy to remember.

    I have not done this for ages, but when I did I had good results.

      I have (and still do) promote Amazon products to businesses using direct mail, telemarketing, and face-to-face sales. These methods work especially well for closing deals on high-end products.

        Interesting. How would you direct the buyer to the product? Would you have a domain that redirects to the Amazon page or what?

          For most of the higher end products I promote, there is a standalone website with features, specs, video demonstrations, etc. Other products are marketed through niche-specific websites within tightly focused business verticals. The affiliate links point directly to the respective product pages on Amazon.

          All of my leads are generated online, and buyers are incrementally introduced to higher end products, initally through a series of emails. As the product sales cycle progresses, additional information is obtained such as telephone, address, interests, hobbies, etc. Sales are optimally consummated by maximizing multiple online/offline points of contact and engaging on a personal level.

      I'm assuming the results weren't good enough for you to continue focusing on this method?

        Not really. It was a slow process! Needed to do this on a large scale.

    I have done alot of this and find it's a great way to add real newbies to my list.
