is Offline Marketing This easy for you?

Over the past several months I have focused more on offline than online.

I have found it much easier to earn more money quicker with offline than with online. Working with businesses that actually want to grow and increase sales makes a huge difference compared to trying to get other online customers to purchase at a smaller price.

What say you? Do you find offline marketing easier?

It's way easier for me. I started with online and struggled for a long time. I just recently switched to offline, and my sales are already passing my online earnings. Being able to put a face with my business really makes a difference.

I think that's the initial draw to the offline world vs. online.

That's why it's caught on in so much with veterans and newbies alike.

The biggest problem with it is, you have alot of people that don't really know what they're doing, offering these services and not getting the client any sort of results.

And what does that do?? It taints our industries image and people are skeptical about hiring us.

Luckily the majority of damage is done in the SEO field, and it's easy to offer another service to get your foot-in-the-door, establish trust, and upsell the SEO later on.

I think the other thing alot of people struggle with if they go directly to offline is they aren't familiar with the concept of marketing their OWN businesses.. Whereas you guys coming from the online world, will be much more in the mindset of doing so, probably make it an easier transition for you.

    Thanks,

    James

Marketing offline has its challenges but I do have to agree that it is easier than online, the key to it all is perseverence. If your new to off line marketing think seriously about recruiting a telephone account manager for lead generation and your role is to be the face

Yes. That's why I always recommend my students to start with an offline business doing PPC for clients. Learn PPC really well then either continue to build it up or transition to online business later. (Since it's much less hassle than dealing with clients) Offline is the place to start though.

Let's be honest, with online marketing you never have to actually leave your pc, or talk with anyone in person... Ever. And that's fine for people who can thrive in that type of enviorment. For me, i need to be social. I like to shake hands, and I REALLY like sealing the deal. It's a rush that can't be beat. It's challenging, but I find it way easier than other ways to earn online.

Building relationships with business, and helping them succeed is a wonderful way to make a living. Plus the recurring income each month makes it even better.

I have been struggling of late with offline marketing. I do a lot of cold calls but the percentage of acquiring a client is very low. Any ideas you guys can float to gather a bigger client base to grow my business?

The difference is in testing your approach. For instance, with PPC I've seen campaigns eek along at break even. We make one simple change to the approach and all of a sudden are rolling in the dough. It's all in the approach. Focus on benefits to the customer and constantly change your approach in little ways and keep note of the changes and response you get from them.

I depends on the business type & services. If you sell online products then you promote it online. But i like online marketing because it long lasting thing. From a online promotion you reach several people in one time.

I find both just as easy to make money with. As long as you have a great ad copy, great landing page or sales page, great call center closers or customer service you should and will make money on or offline.

I do prefer postcards because we have made so much money from them with out automatic mailin system.

This sounds like a clear case of an unclear business identity.

What is your competitive advantage in the marketplace? Why should your prospects buy from YOU instead of the million other people doing the same things?

They key is to differentiate your business. There are things about your service that no other company has. The process is to develop a unique identity, and integrate that identity into everything you do. Every communication you have. Let people know why you are different than everyone else.

You need to know what your competitive advantage is, and tell everyone about it.

Offline Marketing is not easy. No business is easy. Do not expect clients to come to you. You need to go out there and put your blood, sweat and tears on the line.

For me online marketing is a lot more fun. Way more fun. However, fun doesn't pay the bills. Offline makes more money and faster, hands down, if you have something worthwhile and are willing to work it. My WSO I have here WORKS if you're willing to work it. But, yes, online IM is way more fun. No push buttons like some are selling here in the offline world. Sigh.

Most of what you do to build your online business can be applied to your offline business as well. The prime example would be SEO (link building, in particular). The same effort spent building your minisite often results in far more earning from the same amount of effort spent on a client's site.

Let's say you spend 50 hours building links for your minisite selling a $47 product, you'd be lucky if you can sell an additional 50 copies from those efforts alone, but I charge my clients more than $3000 for the same workload.

In other words, the ROI of your time and effort is typically higher in Offline Marketing. Of course, it's a different story if you've built a successful brand in Online Marketing.

What about the type of clients? Do they get it (online marketing)? Or are you spending most of your time, educating them, on why they need to be online? Do they hassle you throughout the week, calling about results, everyday? Is the majority satisfied with what you provide?

Just curious. My past offline experience, was spending more time dealing with client ignorance and overly expectations, than, making it worth while to keep doing.

    Thanks,
    DD

I think it depends on the market and your product. I have found that my target offline market really needs the services I offer and so it seems to be an easier sell. But I dont' know that I would call it more enjoyable. Easier, yes. More enjoyable...hmm debatable.

Offline is much easier but it takes more monitoring and actual effort. Online (once setup) tends to manage itself aside from updates and tweaks, and you have to depend on others to find or click etc. Offline seems easier because we know what the answer is immediately, and if people aren't coming to us (like on online), then we can immediately institute more calls, more reaching out to them.

Everyone likes different things though, so do what works for you, and do a little of everything, don't just pick one thing and expect it to carry you.
