Paid Mailing Lists

I couldn't find a clear answer on this but is there any benefit to buying a paid list from like salesforce or leadsplease etc etc. rather than just going through the yellowpages? I'm sure the paid are more accurate but anything else?

    Depending on who you are trying to target, a paid email list can be very targeted vs. just going through the Yellow Pages.

    With an email list they can target businesses making over $1 million over year and stuff like that.

    Who are you trying to target?

      I meant a direct mailing list not email. Have you had any success with a business email list? I figure those would be a coinflip whether it be good or bad.

        Yes I do snail mail all the time. It works well with the right message.

        To be honest I don't purchase mailing lists to find offline clients. I pick a niche, say plumbers in Phoenix, and then I will mail all the plumbers on page #2 to #4 on Google.

        You want to make sure you only mail to businesses who "get internet marketing". Most do NOT, or at least that is my experience.

        Also you don't want to sell just SEO or a mobile website, you want to sell a complete internet marketing package that they pay you monthly for.

        If they "don't get it", then move on to the next caller.

        Selling only part of the solution will not build a business for you.
