Offline Flyer Method - Will it work?

Hey guys, I am in the process of setting up a flyer> Cpa method.

Currently I am targeting college kids off Craig List to deliver flyers based on a commission basis.

I chose a free trial supplement offer but it costs $4.95 S & H

I will attach the flyer. I am having the college kids put the flyers on car windshields in the parking lot of health and fitness stores and workout places in their area.

For the flyer I went with something unique that people probably don't see often but I am not sure if its believable or if the copy is convincing enough for them to go to the cpa offer page.

Feel free to post opinions.

    First it's not your facility.

Second it only says a supplement
which doesn't tell of a benefit.

    Overall a loser.

    Best,

My experience with college kids is that most of them are broke, and the only extra money they'll spend is on beer & tequila. Find a free offer, maybe just an email submit and you'll get a higher response rate. Best of luck!

The best way to piss me off and ensure that I won't do business with you is to put a flyer on my car. It is also a great way to piss off the property management at any parking lot you find.

The cpa offer that turned up in my browser is offering me a chance to win the likes of iPads. I just don't believe I'm in with a chance to win such from just some random flyer I encounter. Too good to be true so I'd swiftly pass on it.

Ever thought about EDDM? Cost a little bit more than passing them out but you wont piss anyone off by putting a flyer on their car or littering their parking lot.

              Just a thought...

I just don't trust EDDM anymore. Sometimes the mailman will put 6 or 7 copies of the same flyer in my own mailbox. Don't know if it's laziness or what. Then I thought that maybe they do this for each person in a household, but I don't have close to 7 in my home!

I really wish we had a private company deliver regular mail. My post office is full of incompetent people. No offense to anyone, just my observation of the post office nearest to me.

I always find it humorous that people involved in marketing get offended at the marketing tactics of others. Example: People don't want telemarketers calling them, but at the same time are trying to sell their services, people don't want flyers put on their cars or in their doors, but are sending unsolicited emails to businesses, and so on.

I guess I just give the people who opted for distributing flyers the benefit of the doubt, the same way I hope I get it when I make sales calls, or send emails.

When involved in marketing you never know where you next great idea will come from. Perhaps, you should take a peek at some of the flyers on your car, there may be an opportunity for you, or some other information you may find valuable, or something to add to a swipe file.

Times are tough and not every one can afford $1000s for a PPC campaign, print ads or TV ads.

Thanks very much. I wasn't going to try and justify myself to him and his ignorance. And yes, I know that flyers on cars can be annoying but your right I don't have $1,000's for media buys etc.

Explain my "ignorance" to me further. Have you ever seen someone have their wiper arm broken by some careless moron flyering cars? I have. Have you ever seen someone scratch a car by wearing the wrong clothing while leaning all up on an SUV trying to reach a wiper? I have. I detail cars. Or have you ever had to clean up the flyers that blew off or were thrown on the ground because you essentially put trash on everyone's cars? I haven't, but my brother has. So spare me your ignorance and use your ghetto marketing tactics like putting offers on people's cars.

Try an email submit CPA URL link. It will convert more as long as the copy is somewhat better than this one. I know it hurts right now to hear the rude comments above, but the flyer could use some work.

Just like all businesses, you need to split test whenever you get the chance.

The response to flyers on cars isn't that great. You'll have to do thousands of them. Make sure the person doing it puts the flyer between the door and window on the driver's side. After that the next choice is the windshield. Check the city ordinances where you intend to do this.

Posted flyers generate a better response. Many college campuses have public bulletin boards. I would have the flyers posted there instead. Use flyers with a tear tag.

Oh boy where do I start. First off, congratulations on putting your brain to work and getting out there trying different stuff you come up with, even if some people call it "ghetto marketing". After all what really matters is, does it work or not?, and how do you feel about using such method. Personal tactical and ethical preferences.

Now if you're running a CPA offer, always ask your Affiliate Manager before using offline promoting methods, specially since you wanna send directly to a landing page. Which honestly, nobody in his right mind would direct link to a trial offer to begin with. At least is one hell of a an advertiser's LP, who is well/kinda known, and not some shady free trial that looks like it came out of a sleazy tabloid advertising space. Which 90% of health trials look like anyway lol.

You'd be much better off sending them to your own landing page, where you'll offer them not some dodgy trial, but an "awesome free report with the 7 secrets to better healthier life. Limited time offer for people in whateverplaceyouhappentolivein, 10 copies left, grab yours now!", then you catch their name and email address with an autoresponder (aweber does the job), and they'll DOI to receive it, giving you, your very own mailing list, an asset you can use to build trust and value (the two main reasons why people buy) to your customers, to send them whatever offers you deem worthy.

Hell you can even go to local gyms, spas and the like to offer them advertising, start your own health blog on local goodies (fun places to jog and meet cuties in your city and whatnot), and sell them ad space there too. BRAND YOURSELF, you're spending money on publicity after all, might as well make it work for you and not just some health trial advertiser.

Seriously if you going local then give your site a local taste, like phoenixhealth.info (not taken btw, checked on namecheap), much more TARGETED. Also scattering flyers all over the place is the same as bidding on adwords for whatever keywords first cross your mind, no matter if its about healthy lifestyle or a dating site for clowns. A freaking waste of money and time.

Have them college kids handle those flyers in places where local health freaks hang out, or whatever your demo is. Have them wear jogging pants and shirts with your site address, I don't know lol.

Either way, good luck with any future endevours.

      Cheers!
